Chapter 135: Private Matters

Lucas’s POV

I groaned as I opened my eyes, a stinging pain coursing through my head, I clasped my hands over my head, groaning; I can't believe Evelyn is that strong. Perhaps she had always pretended to be weak.

I attempted to stand up from the floor, but before I could, I saw guards come over to where I was and surround me; my eyes widened in sorrow, and I couldn't believe I had been apprehended.

I tried to stand up and walk to the door, but the guards seemed to know what I was up to and stopped me. I sank to the ground after being struck with the back of their blade.
