Weeks later

“So what now?” Ashley asked me, sitting on the desk in my office as I sighed heavily.

“We have her, an army and everything in place. Why can’t we attack now?” She asked me as I swallowed hard, shaking my head,

Things didn’t feel right. I had a feeling something would happen if I didn’t do anything.

“I don’t know, Ash. Something seems off and I’m worried if we push it. It might now work out,” I said to her as she inhaled sharply, looking into my eyes.

“I know it’s not what you want to hear, but it’s the truth. We are not yet ready to attack,” I explained to her, as she scoffed, shaking her head.

“If we take too long to act we might just end up with nothing” she said as I pursed my lips together thinking about what she just said.

She was thinking clearly. I’m sure all this was just to get rid of Alyssa fast, but we needed to think of the outcome. If Marcelo stood by Jason’s side and retaliated, we stood no chance with them.
