Kayla's POV

“Here's the plan. I'll get you out of your room and you make your way into the King's room, get the file, and step out, easy peasy” Kain explained like he was talking about the weather and not some bizarre escape mission to steal from THE LYCAN KING!

“Why will the guards let me in the room?” I questioned nervously.

He smirked, like the answer was obvious. “Because you’re the Luna. Or, at least, everyone thinks you are. Nobody’s going to question you going into his room. They’ll assume you’re there on his command”

“What if something goes wrong?” I urged, twisting my fingers on my laps, my anxiety growing.

“You don't worry about that Kayla” Kain said, stepping closer, lowering his voice as if someone might be listening. “It’s very simple, you'll be fine. It’s either you do this or remain locked here”

No… I was sick of sitting here waiting for the King despite the nerves I felt, it would be better to take this chance than sit here regretting it.

“I'll do it” I muttered
