CHAPTER 10 Crazy Things, Crazy People.

    Aurora hurriedly got down from Damien's car and headed straight towards her house.

   She wanted to get into her house first and tell them that her soon to be boss is coming with her and they shouldn't act off.

    She rang the doorbell and waited a little but no response. She rang it again and again until she heard the door click.

  The door knob twisted and the door opened to reveal Aurora's mom with flour in her hands.

   "Mom!!!" Aurora said.

   "Aurora dear, how are you? How was the interview? Did you get the Job?" Her mom asked without even stopping.

    She was worried for her dear child as she had gone job hunting for a while now without getting one. She sincerely hoped her daughter would get the job.

  "That's all a long story mom but……" 

   "Good day Mrs" Damien said, appearing from nowhere which made Aurora jump in shock.

   "Mom, who is that? Is it Aurora?" Aurora's little brother Alan said heading towards where his mom stood.

    Her mom stared at the young handsome man standing at the door, she had seen this face before but she couldn't remember where.

    She turned on hearing Alan's voice…

  "Yes dear it's Aurora, she's back" she said as Alan came to where she stood with the big bowl of cereal in his hands.

  "Welcome Aurora. Did you get the job you wanted to make us all deaf over?" Alan said and Aurora glared at him.

On seeing the man that stood beside Aurora, his eyes narrowed.

    "Isn't that Mr Quinn, the CEO of Quinn's Enterprise" Alan said dipping his hands into the cereal bowl as his small spoon fell inside.

    

   Damien's lip pulled up in a smile, the little boy seemed smart and he liked him already.

  He noticed the way Aurora's mom stared at him like his face looks familiar or something.

  Aurora's mom's eyes widened in surprise, yes that was Damien Quinn. His face looked so familiar as she had seen him on TVs.

  "Won't you let me come in then?" Damien said with a daunting smile.

  Even though he smiled, it didn't come out as expected. The smile shakened Aurora's mom to the bones.

Billionaire Damien Quinn was at her house?

She couldn't believe this!!!

Just some hours ago her daughter went for an interview and now she's coming back with the CEO of the company.

Oh God!! What did her daughter do wrong this time?

She sincerely hoped her daughter didn't cause any damages.

  Aurora's family weren't poor nor rich, instead they were comfortable.

   At least their dad earned money and brought it home and that was enough to sustain them. 

  Her mom had tried her hands into somethings but she couldn't really manage it for so long as she had to be at home, cooking for the family and taking care of Alan, her only son.

  So Aurora's dad decided that she should stop working for a while.

   "Let's all go inside alright!" Aurora said, looking at her mom as she was lost in thoughts.

    "Erm... yeah, yes... of course come inside" she said, stuttering. She just couldn't find the right words to say.

Aurora stepped inside first followed by Damien.

  Damien looked around the not so large but modest house,the living room had a crazy contrast of black and white. 

The sofa white with it's pillows black, the wall white with the curtains black which gave out a very nice combination.

      A black center table with white trays on it, the dining table didn't miss out on being black and white.

 The family sure has good taste.

  Damien couldn't hold himself from talking,

   "Nice combination, black and white, goes so well" he said sitting on the cushion without being asked to.

He was Damien, he does whatever he wants.

   "Oh yes true, it sure goes well. Aurora suggested it like this as she likes the color plause she said it gives out a very satisfying feeling when stared at" Aurora's mom said smiling at her daughter.

  She remembered when her dear daughter suggested this change.

  She had just finished designing a room interior on her laptop, she saved the picture and decided that the living room be designed like that as it combined well “and gives out a satisfying feeling when stared at".

  Her father and mother complied as they found the design quite nice.

   "Hmm, she would do well in my company, I would have said to have her work in the designing department but then. . . .

Damien was saying but was suddenly distracted by the sudden gasp of the smallest person in the room.

  "Does that mean my sister got the job!!!! woah woah" Alan chimed.

   Like he said earlier, his sister hadn't given anyone in the house a breathing space as she kept on talking and talking about what she would do when she gets the work.

   How she would buy this and that, she also promised him a new iPad.

     "Aurora you got the job!! I'm so proud of you my child, come here" Aurora's mom said signaling her to come closer.

    "Yes she got the job and that is why we have come here so that she can pa.. "

   "Arrrgh mom! Where uhm where is dad? Aurora said, interrupting him from completing his statement.

  She didn't want him to tell her mom that she would be living with him already as she wanted to tell her mom herself.

  Damien looked at Aurora and gave her a lopsided smile, his mate had a habit of interrupting him when he was talking.

  She really was something, he couldn't wait to tame her already.

    "Uhm your dad is still at work, you know he doesn't come back by this time" Aurora's mom said looking at her daughter, she had been acting up since she came with her boss.

   Damien trying to get on Aurora's nerves said,

   "How come your mom and brother knew who I was when I came but you didn't even know me when you saw me, huh". On saying that his eyes moved to Aurora.

   She gave out a fake smile but internally cursed Damien in her mind.

What the fuck was he tryna do?!

   "Instead she even shouted at me and pushed me, until my assistant introduced me" Damien said, faking a hurt face.

   "What!? Oh my God! Aurora, you did that? I'm so sorry sir! I apologize on her behalf" Aurora's mom said quickly.

  No wonder he came with her, she knew something was wrong.

    Aurora glared at Damien this time, if eyes could kill he would be 6ft below now. 

Why the fuck was he lying to her mom, even if she did must he say it!!

Arghh this man!

I thought he claimed he loved me and would take care of me and wouldn't let anyone hurt me blah blah blah, why did fuck is he trying to get on my nerves??

Aurora calm down! calm down!

Damien saw Aurora glare at him but he grinned instead, she kept on biting her lips and he wondered what she was thinking about.

  

   "I'm sorry Mr Quinn but I don't remember even pushing you" she said in a polite manner, but then her eyes told a different thing.

   "Oh you don't, that very moment when I hugged you, you pushed me" 

Damien said and Aurora's heart skipped a bit.

Why was this man behaving like a psycho?!!

Why would he fucking say it in front of everyone that he hugged her, this man didn't know what to say at the right time.

  Aurora felt so embarrassed and internally wished the ground would open up and swallow her.

   "Actually Aurora has never liked you, Mr Quinn." Everyone heard little Alan say and Aurora felt her heart coming out of her throat, what is Alan saying?!. Everyone is definitely going crazy.
