CHAPTER 11 BLABBER BEAK

CHAPTER 11 BLABBER BEAK

"Actually Aurora has never liked you, Mr Quinn." Everyone heard little Alan say and Aurora felt her heart coming out of her throat, what is Alan saying?!. Everyone is definitely going crazy.

" What are you saying Alan dear, don't tell lies about your elder sister alright" Aurora's mom said rubbing her son's head.

"Leave the young lad, let him talk" Damien said smiling.

That sarcastic smile that never left his lips, especially in times when he wasn't supposed to smile.

Aurora faked a cough trying to give her little blabber beak of a brother a sign not to talk but he didn't even spare her a look.

"So you said your sister never liked me?"

"Yepp" he said, taking out the last cereal and scooping it into his mouth.

"Since the day Raphael didn't get a job at Quinn's company, she kept on talking about how wicked and heartless you were," Alan said without a care in the world.

Her brother was surely something.

"What else did she say huh" Damien said, he was intrigued by what the little boy said.

He couldn't even remember anything about an interview as he didn't interview all the time, it was mostly done by Derick.

"Did I ? Did I say all that Alan? I didn't! Stop what you are saying" Aurora said trying to keep her brother from saying another word about what happened that day.

She clearly remembered how Raphael came back from his interview looking so sad like a drenched dog.

She knew he didn't get the job as he told her that he was going for an interview that day.

She kept on cursing the CEO of Quinn's company for not giving her friend the job.

She had even threatened to beat hell out of him if she saw him.

Unfortunately, he turned out to be her boss and mate. But with all these things Alan was saying to him, she had died the thought of her working in his company.

Her brother sure knew how to spoil things for her.

"Yes Rory! You also said that you would lay him on the ground and beat him till he passed out. Also that you would deep your hands into his eyes and pluck it out" Alan Said and Damien's amused face changed to surprise and soon he started laughing.

Aurora's mom, waiting for him to stand up and leave the house or probably tell his daughter that she shouldn't bother coming to the company, was surprised when Damien started laughing.

Aurora was also shocked when she saw him laughing, or was he trying to scare them? Who knew what he was thinking at that moment.

Damien continued laughing as he didn't ever expect that someone hated him this much.

He knew the boy wasn't blabbing because Aurora had told him about her so-called childhood friend who applied for her job at the Quinn's and told her getting a job there wasn't easy, but she literally skipped the death threat.

 Pluck his eyes out?

This girl sure knows how to say things she would never even think of doing.

She probably was saying that to make her dear friend feel better.

"Oh yeah, Rory also said that she was sure your face looked like …….."

"Erm Aurora why don't you take your brother to the kitchen so you could give him another cereal alright"

Aurora's mom interrupted her blabber son from saying anything anymore.

He had said more than enough already and she was sure her daughter was going to lose the job.

"But i can get my cereal myself" Alan mumbled, he wasn't done talking to the man.

"No you can't alright! So Aurora went with him" Aurora's mom said.

"Yes mom" Aurora said and hurried out of the living room dragging her brother.

"Sir, I'm so sorry about what my son said, it can't be true. He was probably joking about it" Aurora's mom said.

"Joking? How could a little boy joke about such things? or is he that violent?" Damien asked with his eyebrows furrowed.

"What? No! No no, my son isn't violent, it's just that…." She said and paused, she couldn't find what else to say as the man kept on staring at her with his daunting eyes.

"Sir please do not fire her when she hadn't even started the job yet" She pleaded.

"How can I hire someone who hates me as much as to want to pluck out my eyes?" Damien teased the woman

"No sir, my daughter would never do that" she interceded, completely unaware of Damien's tease.

"What if she harms me when I let my guard down? Come to think of it, I don't think she can stand working for me cause she hates me this much" Damien continued with his teasing.

"I promise you, she would never do that. I didn't train my daughter like that.

She doesn't hate you, she might have just said it out of the anger of her friend not getting the job but she really wishes to work in your company" she continued with her pleading.

"Hmm, okay. You didn't even offer me anything, not even water or do you hate me as well?" Damien said.

"I'm so sorry sir, I was so engrossed with the conversation that I totally forgot.

Let me quickly get it" she said.

She had truly forgotten about it because of all the conversations they had immediately they came in.

From the design of the living room to other things. She had totally forgotten to offer something to her visitor.

Damien smiled and nodded his head for her, signaling her to bring the water.

Damien's smile fell immediately as she left for the kitchen. This woman was a human while her daughter was a white witch.

The woman had human eyes and she also had the scent of a human, she wasn't a witch.

But what about the dad? If she wasn't a witch then her husband must be a witch, except it's a different conclusion which he didn't want to jump into.

Even her dear brother wasn't a witch either, he was a human.

Probably the gene skipped during his birth, but that didn't happen all the time.

Or was the witch gene dormant in the boy as he had no trait of a witch, his eyes, his scent, everything.

So a witch got married to a human, gave birth to two children, one a witch and one a human…. interesting.

Let's see how true the story was.

He wasn't sure that his dear mate knew she was a white witch, she probably hadn't even shown any trace of her being a white witch.

He couldn't wait to see her father so as to clear his suspicion.

Aurora's mom entered the kitchen to see her dragging Alan's mouth.

"Stop dragging your brother's mouth Aurora" She said.

"But mom didn't you see how he kept on blabbing and blabbing about things that he wasn't even asked" Aurora said before letting go of his mouth.

"Didn't you say all those things!" Alan mumbled and touched his lips that his sister dragged.

"Alan you did very wrong by saying those things in front of that man. Even if she said it you couldn't have said it in front of the man. What if he decides not to hire again!" She scolded.

"And then no iPad for you anymore. Even if I get the job, I'm still not buying it." Aurora said and Alan bent his head.

"I'm sorry, I won't say it anymore," he said.

He was sorry only because she had said she wasn't buying the iPad anymore, he had been dreaming of a new one as his old one fell from his hand and had it's screen broken.

"It's alright now go to your room, I want to talk to Mom" Aurora said.

"Okay" he said and headed out.

"Mom, did he say he wouldn't hire me anymore?" she asked.

"Don't worry about that, I had pleaded on your behalf" she said, placing her hands on her daughter's shoulder.

"Arggg thanks Mom" she said, giving her mom a big hug.

She was really going to miss her mom if she leaves.

"Uhm mom, about the job, I can't go from here because of the distance and all. I wouldn't be able to meet up on time." She said holding her mom's hands.

"I actually thought of that, you want to move out?" She asked.

This is what she had feared the most, she didn't want her daughter to go too far.

Considering that she hadn't told her the truth yet she didn't want her to find it out from the mouth of another.

"Not permanently though, just for the meantime mom" she said, she was getting emotional already.

"But, to set up an apartment for you so soon, you'd have to leave here for the meantime" she said.

"About that mom, my boss has provided a place for me to stay. In the Quinn's mansion, I'd stay in the workers lounge" she said oblivious of the plans Damien had for her.

"Really! that's very nice but then, would your dad allow it?" She asked. She was looking for every reason to stop her from going.

It wasn't like she wasn't happy for her but then, she would miss her so much.

There's nothing she could do now, her daughter has her own life to live now.

"Yes of course, he knows how much I've been wishing to work at Quinn company. Don't worry mom I'd come visiting everytime alright" she said, noticing the sad expression already building on her mom's face.

She didn't know how her brother was going to take this news, if her mom acted like this then her brother would definitely cry.

She hadn't lived far from her family and she didn't know how they'd feel living far from her.

"I know" Aurora's mom said and hugged her dear daughter, she really loved her daughter. She had been a daughter any parent would sincerely long for.

She had managed to stay out of troubles right from when she was a child till now. She didn't socialize so much but then, the ones she brought home were people she really cherished.

She was really a good daughter.

The sudden sound of the doorbell shook the duo and they seperated from the compassionate hug.
