Power:The water hit Jace’s wounds as it began being poured into the tub. The water hitting his open wounds caused him to grab the sides of the tub and grit his teeth. The water was like pure fire as it slowly began to encompass his body. He shut his eyes trying to push the pain away. He had to focus on anything else. His mind terrified Nora might feel what he was feeling. Nora. His mind began to flood with images of her. Looking across the night club his eyes landing on her immediately knew what she was and what he had to do. The way she was dancing and moving like she was lost in the song playing. The first night they were ever intimate, him chasing after her as she laughed trying to hide from him. The pain disappeared. He leaned his back on the back of the tub zoning out on memories. The tub was filled up to his chest. He felt chains being locked around his wrist. The chain was then looped under the tub. They then attached it to his opposite wrist. He was now locked in the tub. J
Saved: Nora was on high alert as she waited to see if they were coming back. She felt stronger and more intense. Her body vibrated with her power. After several seconds she looked over to Jace. He was struggling trying to get out of the tub. The large chains weighed him down. Nora rushed to Jace’s side. She reached to grab the chains and Jace tried moving away from her. She looked confused and then decided She was going to pull him out of the water. She watched him flinch as she came near, again. What was going on? “Jace?” Nora asked quietly. “Cut the chains, don't touch the water and do your best not to touch the chain. It's all drenched in wolfsbane.” Jace said slowly trying to talk through the pain. She frowned, looking around the dark room there was nothing she could use to cut the chains. She searched the small rolling table still finding nothing big enough. She ended up with bolt cutters. Dante, she thought. “Dante, I need bolt cutters.” She mindlinked him. ‘Ok what's goin
War: Nora stepped away from the doorway and a rush of fear went through her. She was worried about the consequences from what just happened. She needed to let Asher know. Logan stood just off the way from the kitchen looking at her strangely.Asher something happened , I need the pack to be put on lock down. Nora sent to him What happened? Asher sent back. I chased off the council when i found them torturing Jace. They had orginally tried torturing Sarah. They called it questioning. Nora explained. That power surge….was that you? Asher asked, he had felt it miles away. I think so. I kind of went a little extra glowy this time. Nora said quietly.Damn. So War is coming. Don’t worry, I'll keep this pack safe. Asher sent back.Have Lilly and Matt stay there, it's not safe for them to be moing right now. Nora sent back. Will do Alpha….be safe. Asher sent back. You too. Nora replied. She glanced at Logan who was still staring at her. She gave him a look wanting him to explain. He let
Crumble:Douglas crossed the border into his land. He took a deep breath, the smell of pine wrapping around him. The temper is slightly colder than the surrounding areas. He let out the breath he took in. He was happy to be home. He walked down the pebble path towards the lodge looking pack house. He made it through the gate and passed their border. No alert, no siren nothing. They were not used to being worried about any threat. Their Alpha was a council member no one dared to come on their land uninvited. Walking into the hall of the pack house there was silence. The pack house felt almost like a resort in the mountains. Very rustic and woodsy, He knew it was late but was surprised no one was up and about. He went to his office and sat down in his chair in front of the fireplace.“Samuel.”He mindlinked his beta. There was no response, Douglas realized he had to be sleeping. He leaned back, shutting his eyes, sleep creeping up on him. He shook his head trying to shake it away as a ya
Guarded: Dante walked sleepy and sluggish down the hall. The thoughts of war in his mind. He had been there before. He wouldn't have second guessed it and he didnt this time. He just wanted to know when they were going to be able to not be constantly defending themselves. He paused at his door. Sarah. She was hurt from being in wolfsbane cuffs but she didn't act like anything happened. He felt a flicker of anger. Some horrible things had happened to her. He took a deep breath trying to push those thoughts away as he walked into their room. Sarah was curled up in his bed sleeping. The blanket wrapped around her midsection, her leg draped over it showing her bottom off just slightly. He smiled softly and walked over to the bed. He pulled his shirt up over his head and then unbuttoned his jeans, letting them slide off of him. Stepping out of them he went to get into the bed, that's when he noticed. Sarah's breathing had increased, she was flinching and whimpering in her sleep. “No!
Intruder: Nora woke up just before the sun was coming up. She glanced over to Jace watching him sleep peacefully. She watched the slow sunlight dance across the floor and then touch upon his face. Nora smiled wondering how he could sleep so well with everything going on. She turned over on her side to look at him better. She brushed the dark almost raven color lock of hair out of his face. He didn't even move, hsi breathing didn't change. He was still so peacefully asleep. She stood walking over to the window. She was afraid for the future, scared of what it meant now that her secrets were out. Now that she had declared war. She didn't want anyone else getting hurt. She was staring out the window where a strong feeling hit her. It was like something broke. She felt a shift in power. Something big had just happened. Jace sat up seconds later, he was breathing heavily like some had thrown cold water on him. Sarah turned from the window looking at him confused. “Did you feel that
Pre-planning:The man was tall, his eyes were brown and he had sandy brown hair that was ruffled into a mess, like he had just rolled out of bed. He backed up putting distance between himself and Jace. He then raised his hands up defensively. Jace stepped closer closing him in, his eyes glowing a fierce ice blue as Cole was just below the surface ready to rip this intruder apart. The man backed up into the pack house door. His back pressed up against it, as Jace cornered him in. The man held his hand up to Jace as if telling him to wait. He gritted his teeth and Jace was wondering who exactly he was. He could feel that he was powerful and his gut was telling him he was from the council.“What are you doing creeping around my land?” Jace growled.“Douglas sent me. I need to speak to you urgently.” The man said quickly. “Douglas?” Jace said surprised, he had been expecting something from Lance.Nora growled fiercely behind him and Dante’s eyes glowed ready to shift. The door behind t
History:Nora wandered into the kitchen. It would be minutes now for the other packs to start to arrive. Lori had whipped up something to make it more casual. Even though they would be talking of war, food always seemed to make everything better. Nora reached over and plucked a red grape off its vine and bit into it. She zoned out everything rushing into her mind.“It's not good to hold things in constantly.” Lori said softly.“I’m just worried.” Nora said, grabbing another grape.“War is scary, that's normal to be worried.” Lori said with a small smile.“It's not the war part that scares me. I’m worried I can't keep them all safe.” Nora said, hearing it outloud made her stomach clench inwards on itself. The rush to vomit again hit her. She turned, grabbing a hold of the sink and preparing to empty her stomach. She turned on the sink, cupped her hands and let them fill with water. She splashed the water over her face. Trying to let the cold water chase away the feeling. “Luna, you wi
