Chapter Thirty - Six

Nora was on high alert as she waited to see if they were coming back. She felt stronger and more intense. Her body vibrated with her power. After several seconds she looked over to Jace. He was struggling trying to get out of the tub. The large chains weighed him down. Nora rushed to Jace’s side. She reached to grab the chains and Jace tried moving away from her. She looked confused and then decided She was going to pull him out of the water. She watched him flinch as she came near, again. What was going on?

“Jace?” Nora asked quietly.

“Cut the chains, don't touch the water and do your best not to touch the chain. It's all drenched in wolfsbane.” Jace said slowly trying to talk through the pain.

She frowned, looking around the dark room there was nothing she could use to cut the chains. She searched the small rolling table still finding nothing big enough. She ended up with bolt cutters. Dante, she thought.

“Dante, I need bolt cutters.” She mindlinked him.
