Right in queue, as if to have heard what was being said in the room, the entrance door once again swung open, revealing three figures. At first I did not recognize who they were but eventually after realising it, fear once again gripped me and I felt my heart drop for a split moment.

"No." I gasped out as goosebumps gathered the foreskin of my arm.

Jude, Jade and Dorcas had walked in.

I couldn’t find Lily and I almost believed they hadn’t found her yet. But I concluded that they must have sent her back to the pack.

Jude, Jade, and Dorcas being there was a surprise. Them willingly putting themselves in danger for me felt kind of unnecessary, especially because I knew I was the reason things were risky.

Part of me wished they had just let me deal with the situation on my own. I've always figured out how to handle things, and their involvement seemed to make things more complicated.
