Katherine pov

"Oh I saw you barge out of Jude's room. Did something happen?" Lily asked, changing the topic entirely.

"Oh it's nothing, it's just..." I trailed off, my jaw dropping and my heart skipping a beat for a moment when my eyes met with who I did not expect.

"Brenda."

“You have a lot of audacity coming here, don’t you?” I glared.

I wasn’t surprised that she was not dead, even if I saw the knife cut through her throat, a werewolf is meant to heal quickly and even if the knife had wolfsbane in it, it still should not have been able to kill her so quickly.

Lily had the same snickering look in her eyes and I bet the entire pack felt the same way about it.

“Hey,” she responded, nervously, sending her hand to the back of her head.

I wondered why she would even bother to come and have a conversation with me, I already had a personal beef with her and the heavens knew that I was more angry at the fact that she slept with my mates than the knowledge of her betraying the pack.
