It was 7:40 pm already. I kept pacing around my room and chewing on my fingers, contemplating whether or not to meet with Brenda. Going there meant that I believed what she was saying and I was showing a form of trust but most of the time I managed to trust people, they found their way to stab me in the back, literally.

Brenda's message replayed in my mind - “She does it every two days. I plan to find out again tonight. It’s because you’re the only one with the same perspective as me, that’s why I’m telling you this,” Every fiber screamed this was a trap, yet my gut said I had to hear her out.
