Jasmine shook in fear as she remained on her knees, watching another man stay unconscious in front of her. Just like the first person, he was still alive but in brutal pain.

I could almost taste the disdain from Katherine who was behind me. With the history I knew they had, I was sure she believed that Jasmine was the one behind these fatalities. I had a reason to suspect her too, but my guts were telling me otherwise, and my brother had the same feeling.

It was either the vampires or Casto trying to make a point. We needed the witches back to avoid unnecessary trespassing. It angered me to know that my people suffered this way and were beginning to feel insecure about the safety of the pack.

“Take him downstairs to the ambulance. We will not rest till we get to the bottom of this!” I announced firmly, I was worried about the entire situation but I could not afford to show the rest of the pack that I wavered.
