CHAPTER 19

LUKE'S POV

I woke up again after dreaming the same thing. I drew the curtains and walked out of the palace which had been feeling very empty lately since Rebecca disappeared somewhere. I realized that it was also the same time every night. I then breathed in the cold night air although it couldn't match the coldness of my heart. With my eyes closed I tried to calm my messy heart back down and it was inversely proportional to the logic playing in my head.

All this time I've been looking for who to blame for everything. But so far I can only blame myself for not being able to protect my Lunaku. Even with my eyes closed, I could sense the presence of a werewolf.

"I always dream the same thing. Over and over again, no matter what I do it all ends with the same dream." I said without turning around.

"An Alpha shouldn't be that pathetic. " The werewolf replied.

I let out a long sigh. How am I supposed to be happy if everything is about her? Every night, even every time I d

CHAPTER 20KEN'S POVI gently stroked the hair of the three-year-old boy fast asleep in the center of my private room. He was so handsome that he captured my heart even though my common sense said I should make a boundary with him. Well, I'm an Alpha who isn't married and has children after all. But somehow everything was different when I met Rebecca. I felt something different and I wanted it to last forever in my heart and life. If this was the wrong feeling, I was already trapped in it and there would never be any intention of getting out.The boy squirmed but refused to open his eyes. I gave him a light pat on the butt in the hope that he would return to sleep for a long time. I don't know where the thought came from so I tried to find every curve of him that resembled me. After a long search, of course, I couldn't find the slightest resemblance because he wasn't my son."Aa, you look so much like your mother, son," I muttered,Well, it was her beautiful mother who made my heart

CHAPTER 21 REBECCA'S POVThe night was getting late and cold. But I had a hard time closing my eyes even for a moment. I glanced at Lucas who was in my arms. The boy seemed to have a mind of his own. He was staring at the ceiling like me and occasionally mumbling incoherently. I was thinking about many things right now regarding our next life. Could we be forever in this place? Kaihan Ken was so good that he had to take so many actions just to protect me and Lucas."I don't agree with them getting married. Their biological son who should be the successor to Alpha's throne would be fighting for power with the woman's son who would say that he was born before the heir to the throne should be." Well, I clearly remember the words of the female Elder who chatted with Esme some time ago. I also clearly remember all the insults and inappropriate words that came out of the mouths of the kitchen girls who were always looking for ways to harm me. If only they weren't afraid of Ken's punishm

    22. Rebecca's POV I stared at her charming clear eyes. Those innocent eyes looked at me questioningly. "Do you know the person in Lucas's dream?" My favorite toddler leaned towards me, her face close to mine. Maybe he thought that if we were that close, he would get the answer. "Um..." My mutter buzzed. I pretended to be thinking very seriously. I was a little amused because she thought I could immediately know the face of the man in her dream. "You don't know?" She shook her head with an innocent face. I frowned. "I'll find out first, what the person Lucas met in the dream was like." I tried to evade. "Em ...." Now it was my little boy's turn to look like he was thinking hard. "It's a big body, then it has eyes, a nose, and a mouth, it has this hair and yes... that." With simple gestures while pointing to what he mentioned by touching parts of his face. I smiled at the general explanation. "Um, you should go into Lucas's dream sometime?" I joked. 23. Ken's POV I walked across the garden on the east side of Blackmoon Castle with my palms up to cover my face from the sun. The sun was currently at the peak of its heat. A few steps later I was in front of the door of a room on the east side of Blackmoon Castle. Blackmoon's beta pack greeted me at the doorway. "They're waiting, Ken." I nodded slowly. Then, I entered the room and saw that the royal officials were already seated in chairs surrounding the large, long table in the center of the room. And I heard the sound of the door to the room being closed by Beta. They stood up as soon as they saw me. "Sit down!" I ordered quietly. They nodded obediently. Then, I sat on the high-backed chair in the center of the table. I glanced at them for a moment. "You must already know what we're going to talk about in this meeting." "Bluemoon," one of them said. "Exactly!" I nodded slowly. "And as usual, we're going to have a blue moon festival," said another person not to be outdo

    24. Rebecca's POV The sun had just entered the horizon in the western horizon leaving an orange-red color in the sky. The sky seemed to be burning. Lucas and I had just arrived at the beach on the west side of the Blackmoon pack's palace. The sky wasn't completely dark yet, but the Blackmoon pack had already filled the beach to celebrate their holy festival. I took a slightly spacious spot in one corner of the beach. From here, a large bonfire could be seen smoldering. Elsewhere, a large table was set up to serve the specialties of this holy festival for werewolves. Wild fruits, special fermented drinks, and some grilled, cooked meat filled the table. Meanwhile, on the other side, fresh meat had just been put on the grill. Several men in charge of the food were twirling the wood of the meat roaster. "Huh?!" An exclamation of amazement came out of Lucas's small mouth. I turned my head and saw this innocent boy pointing upwards in amazement. "The moon! The moon!" he shouted w

    25. Ken's POV I had to restrain myself. Rogue's escape was important. But, this sacred celebration that only happens once in a few decades cannot be tainted with interference of any kind. I decided to postpone this matter because this holy festival is so important to every werewolf. As the Alpha of the Blackmoon pack, I must prioritize what is more important. The Bluemoon Festival must go off without a hitch! I walked to the beach on the west side of the castle escorted by Beta and a few other packs. The sky was burning as soon as my feet stepped on the sand. The sun had just left the sky. I wandered around and smiled with satisfaction when I saw that the royal officials were supervising their subordinates to make the preparations for this feast flawless. The dining table had been set up with Bluemoon festival specialties served on it. Some of the men from our flock were preparing additional roasted meat. I approached the large bonfire that was lit by the shore. My gaze focuse

Chapter 26Luke's POV My hands were clenched in anger. At the Bluemoon festival precisely in the enemy pack, the Blackmoon pack, I saw clearly that Rebecca, my Luna, was about to be claimed as a fated mate by an alpha. My heart was thundering and there was no way I could let this happen. My chest was rising and falling, with my breath coming fast. My face was heating up and probably already looked flushed with anger, especially when I saw that Alpha started to grab Rebecca's neck. I even saw the canines already starting to break out of their rows of teeth, and preparing to pierce Rebecca's neck that was displayed so delicately in front of her."Stop it!" I shouted in a very loud and forceful voice, successfully bringing the event to a halt. All pairs of eyes were immediately on me. I could feel the temperature rising, the atmosphere that had been full of laughter and music now turned silent and tense. I knew I had stepped into enemy territory, but for Rebecca's sake, I was willing to

The atmosphere was eerie, with a cold breeze that made the branches of the trees creak, creating the impression that something was lurking in the darkness. In front of a dull, unkempt old shack, Lucas stood tall with a cold, piercing gaze, even as his heart rumbled within him.He stared straight ahead, where a girl with a black face full of burns stood trembling. The girl, Elle, was sobbing, her tears flowing unstoppably, but Lucas would not look at her. He knew what she had done, and it was unforgivable.Lucas took a deep breath, trying to tamp down the emotions that were about to explode inside him. "Delta Richard," he called in a firm but flat tone. His voice sounded like a command that could not be refuted. "Take this girl right now to the Winterblood pack. She must be held accountable for her actions there."Richard, a tall man with black hair that had begun

His every step echoed on the cold marble floor. Behind him, Delta Richard followed him with a solemn expression, his eyes not leaving Ken's back which looked even more solid as anger overcame him. The air in the room was tense as if everyone was holding their breath. The snow on Ken's fur coat melted and dripped onto the floor, leaving a wet trail. As soon as his gaze fell on Elle, who sat weakly on the floor with a dull face full of wounds, his anger intensified. Next to the girl, Lucas stood transfixed, seemingly unaware

A moment ago, Emma stood before them, before disappearing into the darkness, leaving behind a warning that made their blood rush faster."Lucas is in this forest. Find him before that black-faced girl kills him, just like she did to Alpha Hernandez's family," Emma said, her voice firm and full of warning. As soon as those words were spoken, Emma disappeared without a trace. Like a wind that suddenly changed direction, so quickly and without warning. Richard stared in the direction Emma had gone, his eyebrows knitted together. "Why does she always disappear like that?" he muttered irritably,

The simple wooden house in the middle of the forest that usually sheltered Lucas was now filled with tension that hung in the air. The dark, moonless sky emphasized the gloomy atmosphere, while a gust of cold wind broke through the cracks in the wooden walls, making a faint swishing sound that added to the discomfort. On the veranda of the house, Lucas sat leaning against an old, almost fragile wooden chair, his hands firmly gripping the back of the chair. His sharp eyes full of emotion were fixed on Elle, the girl standing not far in front of him. That night, something was different, something that made Lucas feel mixed up. While the sound of her heartbeat echoed in his ears, his mind was filled with confusion and disbelief."How could you say the same thing to me?" asked Lucas in a hoarse voice, almost a suppressed whisper. Chapter 105This morning Ken woke up with a gasp, his body still feeling the residual tension from the nightmare he didn't fully remember. His eyes looked around Emma's old hut. The weathered wooden walls seemed helpless against time, with cracks letting in the dawn rays. The gloomy atmosphere added to the uncomfortable feel of the hut.Beside him, Richard had woken up first, sitting on the edge of the rickety bed with a dazed face and eye bags that clearly showed a lack of sleep. Outside, birdsong could be heard faintly, but it was unable to ease the anxiety that suddenly enveloped the room."Lucas... where is he?" muttered Richard, his voice full of confusion as his eyes scanned the empty room.Ken snapped out of his slumber, his heart beating faster as he realized Lucas' absence. "He was here last night. I'm sure," Ken said in a firm tone, though in his heart, worry was beginning to creep in. Elara's face swirled in his mind as if haunting his every breath. This nightmare felt real, more than just a dark memory.Ken, who was sitting next to Lucas, looked at the young man with concern. The atmosphere inside the hut was so tense, with the air seemingly holding its breath, only the sound of the fireplace was a silent witness to their despair."Lucas..." Ken opened his voice, quietly but thoughtfully. "I know it's hard, but you need to rest. We need energy for tomorrow, to start looking for answers."Ken's voice didn't seem to touch Lucas. Fresh air with a cool breeze enveloped the entire neighborhood, carrying the scent of wet soil freshly touched by the morning dew. Lucas, eyes still a little heavy, was awake earlier than usual. The creak of the large wooden door sounded softly as he stepped out of his magnificent room. The hallways of the palace were filled with large, gold-framed paintings that told the long history of the Blackmoon family. His quiet footsteps echoed as if soaking up every memory stored within those walls.Once outside, Lucas' gaze fell on the vast garden that stretched out in front of the palace. It was filled with neatly arranged flowers, with a giant fountain in the center that sparkled with rainbows from the reflected rays of the rising sun. Lucas walked to the stone bench in front of the fountain, sat down, and took a deep breath. It had been years since he had set foot i
