The night was getting late and cold. But I had a hard time closing my eyes even for a moment. I glanced at Lucas who was in my arms. The boy seemed to have a mind of his own. He was staring at the ceiling like me and occasionally mumbling incoherently. I was thinking about many things right now regarding our next life. Could we be forever in this place?
