LUNA'S POV

Maya zipped up the dress I was putting on. It was a peach-colored dress. It was sleeveless and dropped down to mid-thigh. I still didn't remember agreeing to accompany Maya to a party but she insisted I did.

I looked at my dresser and all my jewelry was scattered, even my make-up bag was open. I did a little twirl in front of the mirror and the flared skirt of my dress bounced.

She looked at me with satisfaction. "I did one hell of a good job with you," She deepened her smile. "You look like a million bucks."

My hair sat atop my head in curls. I was… I didn't know what to say. I looked beautiful. I don't remember ever looking this beautiful.

Maya eyed me warily. "You look like you're about to cry." She kept eyeing me, "Please don't, it will ruin the makeup."

I scoffed, "And here I was, thinking you truly cared." I gave her a little hug, "It's just that, I look like me before I started that damn job."

"Please stop or I'll start crying too." She blinked rapidly to prevent any tears from falling. "This mascara is too damn expensive for emotional shit like this."

I laughed and she glared daggers at me. "Don't look at me like that. You look like a psycho right now."

She scoffed, "You haven't seen psycho yet." She used a paper towel to dab under her eye, "I swear if my mascara gets smudged, I'll murder you."

"Let's go, Miss wannabe psychopath," I told her sweetly. "I know you don't like being late."

The moment mentioned late she grabbed my hand and we ran to the door. She quickly locked the house door and pushed me towards her car which was parked in my driveway.

The next I knew, she was driving like a maniac, and before I could tell her to slow down, we were standing in front of a beautiful, huge house.

"What's the time?" She asked, snapping me out of my daze. I looked at the watch I had on, "It's 6:30."

She groaned in a deep voice, one didn't know she had. "We are so late. The party started at six." She groaned again, "Damnit!"

I was surprised by her reaction. "Is someone waiting for you or something?" She usually said being late was being fashionably late.

She composed herself and sighed. "No. It's just that, this party is important to me." She sighed, "The guy hosting the party is a close friend of mine and we have been having issues lately."

I didn't know what to say. "It's okay. Everything will be okay." I rubbed her arm in a comforting way, "Just smile and be yourself."

Be yourself. Really? I was poor at emotional comfort. I avoided looking at her. After a few minutes of awful silence, Maya took my hand and we walked into the house. There were people everywhere and I regretted coming to the party.

Maya gave my hand a little squeeze. "I know you don't do well around people," She squeezed my hand again to reassure me. "I'm here for you."

I gave her a small smile to tell her I was okay and squeezed her hand back. "I'm okay. You don't have to worry." Then I looked at the people around me. "Let's slay."

After an hour of standing around holding an almost empty champagne flute, I needed to use the bathroom. Maya gave me the directions and I successfully found the guest bathroom without getting lost.

I did my business and started washing my hands. The door to the bathroom opened. A man walked in and immediately I saw his face, I froze. I couldn't take my eyes off him.

He stared at me, looking like he had seen an angel. I thanked God I was frozen because I wanted to climb him like a tree. His face looked familiar and I tried to place my fingers on where I had seen his handsome face before.

He walked to me and placed his index finger under my chin, pushing upward slightly, then dropped his hand. "Leaving your mouth hanging open is an unappealing thing to do." He grinned at me.

I knew instantly that my panties were dampened. "I was just surprised…I d

didn't know that…Ummm." I didn't know what to do or say. "Am I not supposed to be in here?"

He gave me another panty-dropping smile and I almost melted. He moved closer and I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"You are allowed to be in here. I saw you and I followed." He said casually, "Is that a bad one?"

I knew deep down that I was to consider it a possible stalker character, and I liked it. For some unimaginable reason, I didn't consider it a bad thing.

My body finally thawed and I moved closer. "I want to consider it to be bad but I can't." I turned the moment into an honest hour. "Does that make me weird?"

He put a hand around my waist and pulled me closer and closer until I was flush against his chest. I have had boyfriends before, but what I felt right now was on another level.

I pressed my lips together to hold back a moan. Why the fuck am I so turned on? My body wanted more, craved more. I didn't know this hot stranger but I would give myself to him over and over again. I didn't even know his name.

"What's your name?" I asked. "At least we should know each other's name, right?" I gazed at him with hooded eyes.

"I'm Asher, don't you remember me?" He cocked his head to the side. "I saw you at your place of work. You work for Mr. Wade, right?"

So that was where I knew him from. He saw me crying. That piece of memory pushed its way to the forefront of my mind and I willed myself not to flinch.

"What's wrong?" He asked and my heartbeat rapidly pulsed in my chest

I stared into his ocean-blue eyes, getting lost in them. I heard a whisper of a question but I didn't hear him.

He looked at me with hunger and lust and my body reacted instantly. I wanted to climb him like a tree. "Are you going to answer my question or not?"

"I'm sorry but I didn't catch what you asked," I said. I was flustered but he grinned at me and shook his head. He leaned in to whisper in my ear.

"You look cute when you're flustered." He said with a smirk. He moved closer and closer until my back hit a cold, hard wall.

He kissed a blazing trail up my neck and I turned into a puddle. Why was I letting a man I hardly know touch me like this? I lost all forms of concentration as he continued licking, biting, and playing with my neck.

I placed my hand on his chest and gave him a little shove. The shove did nothing but he still pulled away and stared at me with an expression I couldn't read. He stared at me for a minute with the same unreadable expression, then he smirked and continued with the kissing, licking, and biting. He put his hand around my waist then after a few seconds, he slipped his hand down to my hips.

His fingers dug into my hips and I moaned, loudly. I felt him grin against my neck. "I love that sound. It does something to me. Fuck!" He murmured against my neck.

The vibration of his voice snapped me out of my ecstasy-filled mind. "No, no. No! I can't do this." I said as I shoved him hard. He was stunned by my newfound attitude. I wanted to run but instead, I calmly walked away. I found my way back to the party and looked around for Maya. I saw her fiery red hair immediately. She was standing next to the mini-bar having a girl I didn't recognize.

She looked around and our eyes met. She waved at me and I gave her a little smile. I weaved around the other guests. I got to Maya and her friend, I assumed.

"Luna, this is Willow. Willow, Luna." She introduced us to each other excitedly. I looked at Willow and gave her a small smile which she returned. She had a tall, slim, athletic build and I almost envied her. Almost. She gave me a wide smile compared to the one I gave her.

Maya continued talking but this time, to me. "I told her you needed a job and she said her brother needed a new secretary." Maya beamed but I didn't know what to say, "You can start whenever you like."

I didn't know who Willow's brother was but it sounded like a good deal. Did it have a catch? Well, it seemed like she had known Maya for a long time.

"There is no catch?"

I didn't want any issues so I came out and asked what was on my mind. She stared at me for a few seconds then chuckled. Her chuckle made me feel dumb. She must have seen the look on my face because she stopped laughing.

"I'm sorry if my laugh made you feel bad. I just loved the way you are. You spoke your mind." Willow smiled at me genuinely, "There is no catch. I just think you would make a great secretary." She looked behind me and smiled.

"Meet my brother, Asher." She said and I turned around. I was face-to-face with Mr. Blue Eyes. My eyes widened by a fraction and he smirked at me. I avoided looking away. I didn't want Maya and Willow to see how red I had turned.

He shifted his gaze to Willow."I already met her." He looked at me. "We have met, haven't we?" He grinned at me and all I did was nod. I turned to face Maya and Willow. They both gave me questioning looks.

"I met on my way to the bathroom," I told the simplest lie I could and it had a little truth in it. "Umm… I need to find somewhere to sit. These heels are digging into the sole of my feet." I tried changing the topic and I was glad it worked.

"Mine too. I might need to do a little burial for my feet. We need to sit." Maya shifted her body weight from one foot to the other. I turned thinking Asher was gone but he was still behind me and I was face to face with him again.

"Please, come with me." He whispered enough for only me to hear. I wanted to say no but I quietly nodded. He turned and started walking away and I followed him. It turned to look at Maya and Willow and I found them preoccupied, which was a good thing for me.

Asher led me up a staircase and into a huge bedroom. I looked around and I was beyond wowed. The walls were covered by black and white patterned wallpaper. The bed was the best. It was huge, with dark silk covers I wanted to wrap around me. There was a beautiful chandelier that looked like it was made from raindrops. I got lost in the beauty and opulence of the room. I did a little twirl and caught Asher staring at me with hooded eyes. His look snapped me out of my calm zone and I straightened up.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked, gaining composure immediately. I swallowed the lump in my throat and gave myself a confidence boost. I held onto my purse tightly as a form of distraction.

He smirked mischievously, "Why are you scared?" He stalked toward me like a predator stalking its prey. "Do you think I will bite you?"

The back of my knees hit the bed and my ass hit the bed. The room suddenly got hotter and I felt like taking off my dress. I wanted Asher to touch me in places I have never been touched before.

"No, I don't think you'll bite me or anything," I said with a whisper. I tried to stand up but if I did, I would have to stand with my boobs pressing into him.

He took my hand and pulled me up a little too roughly and I liked it. My boobs were pressed into his chest. He wrapped his hand around my waist and tried to pull me even closer. He started stroking my hips gently then moved his hand down to my ass.

My back arched a little giving Asher access to my neck. He kissed a blazing trail from the back of my left ear down to my shoulder blade. A soft moan escaped from my lips which surprised me. He chuckled and the vibrations shot straight to my pussy. My body was his to control.

"Princess, lie down," He said.
