Chapter 50 - Ivory Tower

Libby POV

An ominous sensation overwhelms me from the moment I open my eyes, as if I had been watched in the night. It starts with pure dread before moving onto nausea, a slight jolt of panic radiates through me.

All these combined emotions I wasn’t used to hitting me all at once, it takes me a moment to collect myself as I slowly sit up.

I search Pierce’s room, rays of the morning sun dimly lighting the room. I expect him to be sitting in the chair, still watching me, instead his shirt from last night draped across it…so he had been here. I wasn’t going mad.

I follow a deep rooted urge to get out of bed and find him. That feeling not leaving me whilst I throw on yesterday’s clothes again, something was telling me to get dressed and get downstairs.

To find Pierce.

Heading downstairs I find Dane waiting at the bottom step for me, his back to me as I reach him.
