Chapter 38 - Jagger Bolton

Jagger POV

“Good Morning,” I say as I walk past Amelia and Janet. They are both giggling, and as soon as they see me, they stop. I stop in front of them, and Janet clears her throat, staring at me as Amelia clears tears that rolled down her cheek for laughing.

“Are you Having a good time?” I ask, and Janet nods and bursts into a fit of laughter. I shake my head as I walk past her. Once inside my office, I open my laptop to read the first news of the day, and to my surprise, I see Carmen Rover is under investigation at the police station.

I lean forward, removing my jacket and placing it on the end of my desk as I read the news. At the same time, Amelia enters my office, places my coffee on the desk, grabs my jacket, and takes it to hang in the coat hanger.

“Can I get you anything else?” Amelia asks, and I shake my head, not really paying much attention to her. I keep my eyes focused on the screen in front of me. I scroll through different news outlets, reading every article. My pla
