Calliope POV

I feel my entire body trembling, and those blue eyes pierce through my soul. As soon as I saw him walking towards me, my entire brain became a horrible mush. “I am Dash, her husband,” he says, offering his hand for me to shake. I blink several times, trying to process a coherent train of thought, but nothing is happening. Carson and Rachel approach us laughing but immediately stop as they feel the tension in the air.

I can see their facial expression change as their eyes land on the man in front of me, the man that looks like a replica of the lawyer defending the asshole that harassed me. I didn’t know it was possible for two people to look so alike. Yes, I know twins exist, but I have never seen anything like this before. I lick my lips before my words come out all stumbling.

“H-hi, I’m,” I say but stop clearing my throat as soon as my hand touches his. It feels like electricity pumping through my veins. I immediately pull my hand away from his as I stare into his wife’s eyes. She looks unaware of the chemistry happening right in front of her eyes. “I’m Callie, thanks for that,” I let out, looking straight into Grace’s eyes.

“You’re welcome. As soon as I saw J-Dash coming over, I knew something was wrong, and he has a bit of a temper, so I thought it would be a good idea to try to mediate things, right, honey?” Grace says, looking at Dash and raising both her eyebrows. His eyes are still on me, but he quickly looks at her, nodding without saying another word.

“I am sorry about my husband’s behavior. He can be a caveman sometimes, he doesn’t like to talk much, but he sure knows how to please a woman,” Grace says, digging her elbow into her husband’s ribs, and he nods without moving his eyes from me. I feel like I am being analyzed, and I hate that feeling. The man does look like a caveman, his body is full of muscles, and he looks like he can’t even close his arms.

“Is everything okay?” Carson asks, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me to him. He can see that my entire body is stiff, and now he can feel it. He places a small kiss on the top of my head, and as I look at the man in front of me, his hand closes into a fist, and his jaw tightens. His eyes move from me to Carson.

“Yes, this is Grace and Dash; they own the place. I had a little incident, and they were here to help me,” I say, and Carson nods as he smiles politely at the couple staring at him.

“Thank you for rescuing our damsel in distress, but I will be taking over now,” Carson says, and I swear I hear some sort of growl coming out of Dash, but I could be wrong. The music is loud, and we are all speaking so loud that things could get missed or… I don’t know. Do people even growl? I thought that was a book thing. Shrugging it off, I smile at them, ready to get the fuck out of here. Being in front of a man who looks like the man representing the worst man on earth makes me feel uncomfortable.

I smile politely, ready to walk away, when Carson is pulled away from me. I look back to find Dash with a hand wrapped around Carson’s arm as they face each other. Words are being exchanged, but I can’t hear them. I move fast to stand between the two of them, and when my hands touch Dash’s chest, I immediately move them because his eyes fall on mine, and I feel like he is trying to stare into my soul.

“Thank you for helping me, but I don’t need anyone protecting me; I can defend myself,” I let out as I looked at him. His eyes flash different types of emotions, and I swear I can almost see sorrow in them, regret maybe?

“It would’ve been difficult to defend yourself, knocked out drugged princess,” he barks at me, and my eyes widen as Grace pulls Dash’s arm.

“Let’s go, we’re done here,” she says, pulling the man away from me, but he doesn’t move. Soon after, he allowed Grace to pull him away, and I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. My entire body trembles, and I feel my legs almost caving in. Rachel stands next to me and her eyes meet mine as she smiles.

“He is gorgeous,” she says, and I look over my shoulder to see him standing by the bar with a really annoyed Grace, pointing her finger at his nose as he looks at me instead of looking at her. Her eyes follow the direction he is staring at and land on me, and I quickly turn around, not looking at them anymore.

“He is an asshole, let’s go home,” I let out in frustration. My entire body is reacting like I am a horny teenager, and that is pissing me off more than the entire caveman thing. The way he thought he could just waltz here and behave like that.

“Yeah, a gorgeous asshole,” Carson says, and Rachel agrees. As soon as we enter the Uber, they both keep talking about Dash while I scroll through my phone, looking at photos of him. He looks a bit slimmer in these pictures, but again, they are not as recent because since getting married, the man stopped being the focus of the press.

“I wouldn’t mind a man like that coming to my rescue,” Rachel says, and Carson nods. I shake my head, trying to block my thoughts from the man who looked into my eyes and pierced into my soul. I can’t be thinking of him, he is married.

“I wonder if the twin is going to be as intense,” Rachel says, catching my attention and. I look at her, and she smiles. “You know, in court, I don’t think I will be able to testify if he is questioning me,” Rachel says, and I shake my head.

“Do you think he sleeps around? His wife wasn’t very comfortable next to him,” Carson says, and I look at him frowning. “Did you see how she was looking at him and then at Callie? It was like she was trying to figure the two of you out,” Carson adds, and I open my mouth to reply, but nothing comes out.

Dash raises an eyebrow and looks at me, and I shake my head as I shove my hands into my pockets. It’s not that I am uncomfortable with confrontation because I am not, but I am not ready to talk about the only girl who has made me look twice her way. Dash wouldn’t understand me. No one would. “As if he could pull that off, no one would believe it. He’s not as good-looking as me,” Dash says, opening his jacket and spinning in the middle of the room while Grace smiles. “It was your fucking idea; I just sold it,” I let out, staring directly at Grace. Grace choked on the drink Dash gave her as she laughed. Her head falling back with her eyes closed. When her eyes meet mine, I can see the mi

Jagger POV"Jagger, Judge Rover is on line two," Janet says with the most fake, cheerful tone I have ever heard. I know she is training the intern, but there's no need to fake her excitement. "Thank you," I say as I press the button from the intercom that connects my phone to hers. I grab the phone and press it to my ear as I close my eyes, momentarily gathering the strength I need to deal with this prick. I press the button for the line two and I immediately regret doing so. The background noise is loud, and I can barely hear Julio. I frown as I clear my throat. "This is Jagger," I say. "Fucking finally, why did it take you so long?" He barks at me, and I tighten my grip around the phone, closing my eyes and counting till ten so I don't tell this fucking asshole to go do one. "It doesn't matter," he says while I keep counting in my head. I had only reached five when he spoke again, "I need you to come to meet me in the courthouse. My feet stumble as he pulls me towards him."Hey," I protest, but in vain. Carson keeps pulling me like a maniac, and my legs struggle to keep up with him. Carson is a lot taller than me, so one step of his is two steps from mine. I look like I am running while he usually walks. "You're going too fast," I finally say as Carson looks at me and starts walking slower. "What's with all the rush?" I question, and Carson smiles as he points at the law office buildings where the professors have offices. I frown, and as we walk closer, I can hear the shouting coming from inside. The muffled voices coming from inside sound weird to my ears. I can't decipher the words being shouted, but I know whatever it is won't last long. The law building tends to have a lot of security. I stop walking when I realize what is going on. The press points the cameras at me as I widen

Wyatt has been going through hell and back with his kids. It’s like he is trying to form a fucking soccer team. It’s ridiculous. He looks like he aged twenty years in the last four years. Being a father has become his main focus, but obviously, he still runs the business. Wyatt leans back in his chair and takes a deep breath as his eyes meet mine. Immediately, I feel the tension in the air as I walk deeper into his office, standing by his desk. “This is not easy,” Wyatt finally says, and I frown, shoving my hands into my pockets. I hate when he takes his sweet ass time to tell me what is going on. I raise my eyebrows as I look at Wyatt, seconds away from losing my shit, “Petrov was seen in

Callie POVI look at my reflection in the mirror, and I can’t help but shake my head. I know I should be excited for today, but I am not; I am just nervous, and all I want to do is curl into a ball and stay in bed, hiding from the world. A soft knock on my door makes me take a deep breath as I walk to open it. Rachel is standing there holding her black blazer jacket, and when her eyes scan my body, she shakes her head. “You can’t wear that,” she says, walking past me and straight to my closet. My closet is minuscule, and I am lucky to have one. Dorm rooms usually don’t have any, and I was lucky enough not to share it with anyone. “Why? What is wrong with my clothes?” I ask, looking down at my body and frowning. I decided on a black pair of jeans with my black boots and a white turtle neck top. “You look like you’re going to church; you’re having a preliminary hearing; you need to dress to impress,” she says, and my eyes roll against my will. “Stop rolling your eyes,” Rachel says wh

Callie POV"We need to celebrate," Carson says, wrapping his arms around my waist and spinning me around like a lunatic. The preliminary hearing went well. I asked Donna if I could stay outside, and she said yes, so I took the opportunity to stay away from all that testosterone. Rachel was right when she said there were too many good-looking people in one room; it even made me feel self-conscious about myself and how I was pretending to be something I was not. The court case will begin in less than two months, and the anxiety is increasing as we now have a date; I can't even begin to understand how I am supposed to keep my head above water with all the attention this case is having. Two more girls are joining the court case against Judge Julio Rover. Donna and Cornelius are gathering all their stuff, and I hope this helps my case. "Where are we going?" I ask as I look at Rachel, who chews on the side of her finger. I frown as I look at her. Her eyes glued on the screen of her phone.

I raise my eyebrows watching her as she whistles while she fiddles with the grey fabric around my neck. “Fuck that,” I say, smacking her hands lightly. Those moves granted me a side eye, but hey, I love temping death, and making Janet upset is always a bonus. An easier path to hell. Moving fast I untie the tie and shove it in my pocket. Janet shakes her head as she takes a step closer to the hostess of the expensive restaurant she chose. “Reservation for Bolton,” Janet says, and I shake my head, letting out a slight scoff. Janet raises an unimpressed brow as she looks at me over her shoulder. I swear any other person would’ve seen the end of my gun, but Janet… We’ve known each other for far too long. Her kids are like blood to me. She obviously used my name to get the reservation. “This way, please,” the hostess says, and I give h

Callie POV“I hope this is okay,” Cornelius says, and I nod my head. I don’t think I have ever been to a place like this. Don’t get me wrong; I’ve been to plenty of expensive places, but nothing like this, nothing to this caliber. Rachel has been trying to get reservations here for over one year, and this guy clicks his finger and gets one. Amazing what money can buy. “Sure it is,” I let out with my most polite smile. I don’t even think I am dressed enough. Taking a deep breath, I scan the menu, but suddenly, the hair on the back of my neck rises, and a shiver travels down my spine. Trying to recompose myself quickly, I move my eyes from the menu, and I see the reason for my discomfort. Those blue eyes locked on me. I keep my head held high and watch as a woman clicks her fingers in front of his eyes. It’s like he is waking up from a deep thought. OMG. No.“We’re together,” she says, and everything in me freezes as my eyes move from one of my friends to the other. Carson is now staring at me with a small smile on his lips as his thumb caresses the top of her hand. “I am sorry we kept this from you, but as you can imagine, it took us a little while to figure out what was happening between us,” Rachel says, and I stay quiet, not believing what I am hearing. The only thing I can see from his features are his eyes. The eyes that mirror my own. I let out a deep breath, gathering the guns I chose to take with me while Dash did the same thing. Wyatt has been extremely quiet, lost in his own mind. I know he is struggling not knowing where his family are, for their own protection. “Let’s go,” Wyatt says as he walks past me and Dash, carrying his duffel bag with the guns he is taking extra. The rest of the men are in the armory, grabbing their own things. Callie POVLiving with Jagger has been the most amazing and weird thing I have ever done in my life. He is attentive and caring, but he also gives me my space and allows me to spend time alone so I can focus on my studies. I have never met anyone like him before. But there’s one thing I can’t get my head around. Several times, I wake up during the night, and he is gone. He is nowhere to be found, and I keep thinking he would tell me where he is going if he wanted me to know, right?“Are you okay?” He asks me, lowering his newspaper as he grabs a cup of coffee, bringing it to his lips. There’s something extremely sensual about a man holding a newspaper with only one hand while their eyes are on us. I feel a shiver run down my spine as these thoughts take over my brain. I nod slightly, trying to push away all the questions in my head. Jagger closes the newspaper and places it next to his plate. Immediately after he stands and walks to me with a confidence I envy. I press my erection against her heated pussy, and Calliope moans against my lips as my tongue moves slowly down her neck, tasting her every inch. Calliope has no idea the power she has over me; how she could click her fingers, I would go running like a fucking lost puppy. I am addicted to her, and I am not ashamed to admit it. “Show me how much you like it, baby,” I whisper in her ear, and her entire body shivers as her eyes snap open as I take a step back, allowing her to adjust herself on the desk and fall on her knees in front of me. I Can’t help but smile at the sight in front of me. Calliope on her knees is the most beautiful thing ever. How her eyes shine as her hands move to und
