371 - Panicked Windlet
When Darrion let himself fall onto the Waamutori, this wasn’t something he was expecting. He trusted his thunder friend’s saying that it would possibly be similar to taming a dog. Well, maybe he should’ve thought about it once again before agreeing to do what his friend told him to. Also, maybe he should’ve taken his amateur skill in monster taming into account because once again, he had no experience in monster taming at all.
He was experienced in talking with people because he’s a windlet. That surely is not the same as talking to a beast!
“WOULD YOU CALM DOWN ALREADY YOU FEATHERY BEAST?!! I LEFT MY FRIEND ALONE BECAUSE OF YOU!!!” Darrion shouted angrily at the monster while still clutching onto the base of its neck.

After their visit from the Aikawa, Hayate’s group exchanged their flying lizard mount with two horned horses that can run fast. After all, riding a mount is a must if they want to pass the forest. They were not in the main road, but they could see the border in the distance, on the hill. Since the wall or the border was high on the hill, they could see that the walls were also built inside the trees, with the ones in the trees acting as towers of sort. Jai and Darrion left the hospital eagerly. Outside of the medical place, their heads immediately looked around to take in the sight and decide what their next step would be.“So… The doctor and the guard said that this place is Shouha. Yet I heard that it’s Pyre… something kingdom. Which one is true?” Jai asked.“Both are true. Shouha no Kuni is what they were originally called, meaning the country of Dried Leaves. The Pyreblair Kingdom is the new name given by the Central Region after the war to make their name more universal in the other kingdom’s tongue,” Darrion explained, still looking around.“Why?” Jai asked.“Because their language is the different one. Darrion led the both of them to a road eight hundred meters away to the north of the hospital. It was a Y crossing and there were many stores opening up here. There was a restaurant, a tea shop, several clothing stores, and others, possibly also a snack shop.“Oh my, I feel the business and busy-ness of this place. It was like walking to the marketplace but it’s a passing road and not situated as marketplace,” Jai commented on the situation.Darrion’s eyes scanned the place to look for the inn he knew from his information gathering back in Aeronvein, and saw a big maroon building with white walls as its outer wall and circle shaped wooden door. There were two people standing guard outside of the circle wooden door, but they weren’t wearing the same guard outfit like the guards back at the forest’s border. He instantly regarded them as not the official military guards.“So, where are we going next?” Jai asked.

“Hey Jai,” Darrion called when they were unpacking. The blonde had yet to start unpacking because he was more interested in the room interior.“Hm?” Jai replied.Like ordinary Japanese house, this inn was also Japanese styled which means it has no bed. There were only futons here, and Jai knew they were stored in the wardrobe in this room which was the double doors that was across from the shelf in the left wall.
