373 - Cargo Delivered

After their visit from the Aikawa, Hayate’s group exchanged their flying lizard mount with two horned horses that can run fast. After all, riding a mount is a must if they want to pass the forest. Moreover, they were also trying to hurry their pace since they had lost some hours because they had to treat their cargo back in health.

Unfortunately for Alex, even if they had to change mounts and not fly, he was still put in a barrel which were pulled by the horses. They had passed without a hitch from Takenoko’s North Gate, mostly because Karu put a knife in Alex’s lower back to threaten the boy from screaming at the guards. They then put him inside the barrel after they had reached half way from Takenoko. Again, he lamented what had he done to deserve this kind of event in his life. He felt like throwing up already after only a few minutes inside the barrel.

The trip to the capital wasn’t quite pleasant as well. While indeed it was quite smooth, o
