"Easy, kitty, I don't bite," the person laughed. I turned to the person and screamed again. The guy was freaking tall, flaming head and eyes with a scar, like the scar Mufasa's brother had but his was glowing lava. "Hey! Stop screaming!" He shouted. I continued screaming until he clamped his hand over mine, his hot hand! I jumped away from him, fanning my mouth. "Oh, I'm so sorry, didn't mean to… did I burn you?"
No, you gave me a fairytale kiss, you idiot.
I calmed down and held my heart. "No, sorry I screamed so much, you startled me." He flashed me a toothy grin. Wow, he's gorgeous.
"Sorry, I'm Ace."
"Marinette," I said, taking his hand. "I will put this away," he grinned, his flames burnt out. His peachy orange skin turned pale white, his eyes bright yellow, like the sun and his weird spiky razor waterfall somewhat like hair turned ginger with a flaming fire edge. The hair almost looked like one of those anime prince's, perfect for his face.
Holy perfection, kill me now!
My mouth parted as my heart changes rhythm, he smelt so nice and his plum salmon pink lips. I found myself twirling my hair shyly. "Sorry about the fire thing, I've never seen you around here before…"
"Get your flirty ass away from my sister, Ace!" I sighed with relief, she's back. She pulled his ear and tapped her foot as he howled. "How many times have I warned you to stay away from skirts?" She asked scoldingly. She was going mom on him, something she did to people she loves. "Answer me!"
"I'm sorry," he cried. "Mummy, I'm so sorry, I won't do it… Dermot, help me! Your psychopath girlfriend is pulling my ear again!" So, this must be the Ace she never stops talking about. No wonder, he's breathtaking.
"Let him go, Elle," a scarily deep voice said with amusement. She let him go with a squeal and ran to the guy, throwing herself on him. He was heavily built with thick black hair and muscles. His height was intimidating but Elle suited him perfectly. She looked like a dainty cup in his arms as they kissed.
"Couples," Ace scoffed and rested his back and left foot on my locker. She averted his eyes to a hall of girls ogling him and winked, causing the entire girls to lose their minds with shrieking and giggling. I rolled my eyes back to the kissing couple, they were done now, just staring at each other with… should I call it love? His eyes were light gray and lips cherry red, he was gorgeous! He was handsome as hell but not like the charmer flirting with a whole hall of ladies.
I glanced at both boys to compare them; Marielle's boyfriend was more heavily built, a severe muscularity that would scare off everyone, too much for my liking. His skin was paler than Ace's, his muscles stretched throughout his whole body. He must have trained too much. Ace, on the other hand, was damn muscular but not as much as her boyfriend, his muscularity remained at his torso and arms. He was taller than him, by a few inches and way handsome.
"Aren't you guys done yet with the smooching?" Ace groaned, I giggled at his pettishly annoyed voice. "Everyone knows you are both in love, don't rub it in." His voice was lighter, sexier if that description is possible for voice.
"Jealous much," she teased. "Anyways, guys, this is my younger sister, Marinette." She introduced, grinning from ear to ear.
"Ah! The famously bragged Marinette is finally here." Her boyfriend said with a smirk. I blushed and played with my fingers.
"You better believe it!" She exclaimed and smacked his head. "Marinette, this moron is my boyfriend, Dermot. That blockhead beside you is my first son, A.K.A best friend and first love, Ace."
"Nice to meet you guys, she has told me a lot about you all."
"Just as much as she won't stop talking about you," they chorused. Wow, really? She really didn't forget about me.
"You talk about me a lot?" I asked, smiling shyly.
"She talks about you every single minute!" The entire people in the halls shouted. "Welcome to Twilight Castle, Marinette!" I smiled and gave no one in particular a thumbs up. Soon many were coming and giving me hugs and kisses, wishing me a happy stay. I was overwhelmed by their love and wishes.
"Marielle!!!" Someone shouted. I turned to see a girl hugging Elle. "I've done the most to you the of the much."
Eh?
"Me too. Have you seen my…"
"The sister!" She squealed and ran to me. She carried me up in a bone crushing hug, squealing and jumping. She dropped me down and kissed my nose before giggling and twirling around. She was a cheetah girl, I don't understand. She wore a mini skirt and crop top with white knee high boots. "Me is the werecheetah, Twyla." I was right.
"Why is your cheetah form mixed with your human form?"
"I dunno," she shrugged. "Mummy said Twyla was cursed by a witch, she remains like this but she doesn't mind, she's very powerful." She said and giggled.
"Gomez," another guy said. He was kind of short compared to Ace and Dermot but was thick and sexy. He had sharp green eyes and light brown hair. "Werewolf, Dermot's best friend." Well, it's safe to say when they don't have creepy form, they slay hot gods.
"Gomez is the future alpha of his pack, the strongest wolf pack in the whole Twilight Myth. If only he is as strong as Prince Dwight, future Alpha king of werewolves." Ace mocked.
"I'm strong enough to punch your face into your ass,"
"Don't even start with the fighting boys, fighting bad," Twyla scolded. "Cheetah no run packs, we stay alone but me strongest." She said proudly.
"Dermot is the prince of Twilight Myth, pure-blooded vampire." Elle said.
"I thought the Twilight Myth is for all supernatural?"
"Oh, it is, each to their own side but the vampire side is still named that generally. Twilight Castle is inside our zone, belongs to the vampires." Dermot explained.
"You will understand better in history class," Gomez said dismissively.
"And him?" I pointed at Ace.
"Vampire…"
"Eh?" I asked dumbly.
"My mother got bitten by one during a fight at the early stage of her pregnancy, somehow she ended up with me, a fire vampire."
"Fire and vampire don't mix."
"We know, but that is just how things are for him," Elle shrugged.
"Do you drink blood too?"
"Unfortunately,"
"All the time?" I asked again.
He smirked and looked between his friends. "Only during sex."
"Ace!!!" They shouted.
"What?" He asked with an innocent smile. I knew without a doubt that I would love it here.
Classes were going on fine, if you'll call confusion fine that is. I didn't fully understand a thing but everything was going just fine, well, almost. The teaching methods were similar to humans, only more advanced with a huge touch of magic and freakiness. I had to fight to stay conscious while watching monsters teach, I was surprisingly taking it very well. The good news was that I hadn't encountered any bully, yet. "Hey! Wait up!" Someone shouted. I didn't know it was me so I kept hurrying to get to my next class. "New girl! New girl! Marielle's sister!" I stopped and spun on my heels. A female was running to me. She had long green hair with pink streaks all over. Her hair was too straight to be real but yet it was real. Her hair stopped at her waist with very sharp tips, like thousands of needles. Her eyes were pink, small ultra-pink just like her small lips. She had no makeup on and she was shorter than I was but yet the most beautiful pale green-skinned girl I had ever seen. She
"Where's my sister?" "Other cafeteria," "With the others?" "Mmph mmph," he muffled. "What?" "Mmph mmph…" "Can you not talk with your mouth full?" I snapped. He gulped down what he was eating and licked his lips. My eyes couldn't help but follow the swipe of his tongue. "So, how was life as a human?" "Hell." "Why?" "If you like being an object of ridicule, sexual harassment and public punching bag, then I guess that would be heaven to you." He nodded. I believe his food was more interesting than the ugly girl sitting across from him. Heck, a fly would be more interesting than the terrible one called me. "Hmm, how old are you?" "I'm not having any further conversation with a guy who just pulled out a burger from his briefs, ew." "Yum, yum, yum," he said, chewing nastily. "Haven't you heard of hygiene!" "No, did you make that up?" "Ace," I whined. How can one human being be so disgusting? Well, he's not human per SE but still! He pulled a burger out from his underwear, his
On the second day of school, I was excited; too ecstatic. Elle dressed me up again. My hair was packed up into puffy bunches with cute flowery pink and black hair bands, a pink cold shoulder crop top, black high-waisted stock jeans and Nike sneakers, pink and black to be precise. My handbag was black with pink zippers and a fluffy fur ball dangling at its front side. Elle made my makeup all pink and black; pink blush and eye-shadow, black lipsticks and my eyelashes brushed up with thick mascara. That's the best I can describe. To say the least, I looked like a pretty flamingo. "…I thought I should buy him something nice for our third anniversary but I just don't know what to buy." Elle lamented. She had been lamenting all morning about her third anniversary with Dermot. She had yet to do something nice for him. "What did you get for the past two years?" "First year, a hopeless wristwatch," she sighed sadly, rubbing her arm. "Why do you think it's useless?" "He's the crown prince,
AN HOUR LATER I walked along the empty hallway, I was hurrying to class after getting my chemistry book. I stopped when I felt like someone was watching me. I looked around but saw nothing. I felt uncomfortable and fear was starting to kick in. I could hear footsteps heading towards my direction. I squeaked and ran, I didn't know where I was running to but I knew I had to be around people. "Oomph!" I grunted after colliding with someone. I fell on the floor, an intense sting jolting from my ass. I looked at the person I bumped into and my mouth fell open. Not just because he was scintillating, but because he was covered with yellow thorns and a large wood protruding out of his shoulder. "Ace?" "Oh, hi, Marinette. What is ya doing running so fast?" He asked with a grin. I twinkled my lashes and burst into laughter. He frowned. "Thanks for your concern," he said sarcastically. "I guess the bull meant business," I said between my laughs. "Yeah, but we came to an agreement," he said w
I stirred the soup in my bowl absent-mindedly, I still couldn't get the hallucinating thing out of my head. It felt so real, in fact, it was real. How did I walk outside? Everything was complicated and I was too afraid to tell anyone. Elle was sitting opposite me at the breakfast table, typing away on her phone with a giddy smile. I needed to tell her, I had to tell her. Who else would explain what is going on? "Elle," I called shakily. "Yap?" "Can I ask a question?" "Shoot," "Is hallucination common in Twilight Castle?" "Not at all," she said, chewing the food in her mouth. She paused her fingers and raised her head, raising her brows at me. "Why? Did you hallucinate?" "Yes, a very crazy one and it is scaring me," I said shakily, looking down at my soup. I felt her gaze burning into my head, a very suspicious intense look. "Stop looking at me like that, you are making me uncomfortable," "What did you see?" She asked calmly as she kept her phone aside. I itched my left arm nerv
Where am I? I heard heavy flapping of wings, and thunderous flapping coming from behind me. I turned around, quickly enough to see a large four-winged golden dragon flying towards me and blowing out a breath of fire. But, I was too slow to dodge the flame it blew on me. I screamed as the fire headed to me, blocking my face with my hands, hoping it would protect me. It completely consumed me. The pain was unbearable. I screamed and cried in pain, calling for Elle but no one came. After what seemed like hours, the flame whirled around me, forming a thin fire vine. The vines snaked around my hands and slashed down to my back. I raised my wet face to the dragon who had been watching me. He spread his wings, showing me his large wingspans and flapped them. The wind pushed me, sending me flying out of the realm in a whirling fire portal. I gasped as I woke up, tight in Ace's arms. Elle was crying as she sprayed water on my face. "Rinette, please be okay. Ace, what have you done to my sist
I sat at the school's pool, reading my history textbook. I didn't understand it but I was trying. Not a single soul was at the pool to my delight. I love reading in quiet places. It was just me, my book, and the shimmering dancing water. I was reading about the foundation of Twilight Castle; it was originally the first vampire royal castle before the great vampire queen, Queen Rida Red, who willed it to be a school for every paranormal after her death. The present king, Dermot's father, built a much bigger and better castle to live in, while this one became a school. I should have followed the book, believed what was written but something was missing in the history. Something didn't quite click with me but I couldn't place my finger on it. I dropped the book and sighed, wondering what was missing. Again, the incessant ringing in my ears increased, making my head pound. I massaged my temples, trying to soothe the headache, but nothing was happening. In frustration, I pushed the book in
He came to a stop in my room, the abrupt stop snapping me out of it. "Here we are!" He exclaimed cheerfully. He dropped me carefully and grinned at me. My hands remained wrapped around his neck, I was still staring but this time, he was looking back at me the exact way I was. His eyes averted to my lips then back at my eyes and back to my lips again. I averted my eyes to his neck and furrowed a brow. The veins of his neck had popped out in lava colour, almost like his neck was intubated. "Ignore it," I still kept looking. "Can you walk?" "Uhm," I let go of him and staggered back. He reached out to me. "I'm fine," "I'll make you soup," "You can cook?" "I live alone in a van, duh!" He said with a girlish sway of his hips. His hips' movement made me look down and I noticed a swell in his tight skinnies. I bent forward a bit and pointed at it. "What's that?" "Huh?" I looked up at him from underneath my eyelashes and raised a brow. Ace's eyes widened when he looked down at me. I heard
