Chapter 1

Keziah's Pov:

   Blood, all i can see is blood. People are dying and some are screaming in pain. What's happening? Where am I? Uwaaaa~ Wait is that a... Baby crying? I followed the sound until i reach a door where the cries came from. I'm about to open the door when a loud explosion happened the door opened then i saw a man with a crown on his head wait am i in the theater? Why is he wearing a crown? Who is he?

 

  "General gather the soldiers and prepare for the war. Secure the safety of the queen and the princess" the man said. 

  "Yes your highness" the other man said. Then the man with a crown on his head approached to the woman lying on the bed.

  "Honey i will come with you" said the woman.

  "No my queen you have to stay with our princess we have to secure her safety"

  "But how about you? What if something bad happen to you? I don't want to lose you" the woman replied i looked her in the eye she's about to cry. 

  "I will be fine i promise *kiss on the forehood*" the he approached the baby.

  "Don't worry my little princess i will not let them get you" he said while caressing the baby's face then kissed her forehead. I looked at the baby's face i was shocked i-is that me? Ha-how come?

  "Your highness many of our soldiers are dying we need your help" said the man who had just arrived. 

  The man with the crown looked at the woman then give his sweetest smile and looked at the baby who looked like me and then left without a single word to his wife. 

  Suddenly a man appeared in front of the woman. 

  "George!" The woman said. 

  "My queen what can i do to serve you?" The man named george said. 

  "Please take my princess to a safe place where she can live peacefully and when she reached the the right age her powers will come out. Teach her how to use it." The woman said.

 

  "If that's what you wish your highness i will take her to the mortal world and raise her as my own" George said. I looked at the man named george wait why does his face blurr? I can't see his face clearly. The woman took the baby from the crib then kiss her and give her a necklace. Then the woman hand the baby to the man and they enter inside a black hole. When the man disappeared the woman cried and everything became black.

   I woke up panting and full of sweat i looked at my alarm clock its already 6 am in the morning. I just gasped argh its just a dream. I got up and did my daily routine after my bath i look at myself in the mirror im wearing my white blouse covered with red leather with my school logo on the right and 2 inches above the knee skirt with a 4 inches long sock. Hmm i looked like an anime. Btw, hi im Keziah Claire Dawson 17 years of age. My hair color is black and my eye color is red. I don't know why i look like this many say im weird because of my looks but i don't care i love myself and i do not care what they say. I took my bag and went down stairs and headed to the dining room, there i saw my mom cooking our breakfast while my dad is reading a newspaper while drinking coffee.

   "Goodmorning mom dad" I greeted they both look at me smile. 

   "Goodmorning princess how's sleep?" Dad ask. 

   "As usual not fine i always dreamed the same dream" Dad didn't say a word but looked away and took a sip of his coffee as always. When i always talk about my dream he and mom always do that or change the subject sometimes i always think that they might know something about my dream but instead of asking, i prefer to keep quiet. 

   "Btw darling your 18th birthday is coming up, what are your plans?" Mom asked.

   "None, maybe we just do what we used to do, only the three of us celebrate" I said.

   "Why don't we have a birthday party on your 18th birthday darling?" She said.

   "Yes princess then invite your friends or your schoolmates so you can enjoy your special day" Dad said.

   "Hmm i'll think about it ow i have to go mom, dad im almost late bye!" I said and kiss them both on their cheeks. I went out of the house and get in the car.

   After 30 minutes i arrived at school when someone called my name.

   "Keziah!" I turned around and look for the person who called my name and there i saw who it was, Serenity Avriah Black my bestfriend since grade school.

  "Hey how have you been?" She asked.

  "Fine you?" I said boredly.

  "Well still pretty as always HAHAHA! Ow btw your birthday is coming up do you have plans?" She asked while combing her hair using her fingers.

   "None" I said uninterestedly.

   "Why? It's your 18th birthday we are talking about! You should enjoy that day!" She said while stomping her feet in irritation.

    I looked at her while raising my eyebrow because of her childish action. "Serenity you know that I hate parties and social gatherings right?" I said.

   "Yeah but you should enjoy because that only happen once in your lifetime" She said.

    But instead of answering I just walked over to our classroom. Hays maybe she's right i should enjoy so that i can somehow forget my dream. I did not realize i already had reached our classroom. I sorted on the back row so as serenity. After a few minutes our prof arrived.

   "Goodmorning class. I am Ms. Delancey Ford i will be your prof for the whole semester so before we proceed to our discussion let's introduce ourselves first starting with the first row"- Ms. Ford. The introduction started after 20 minutes it's Serenity's turn. 

  "Hi everyone, I'm Serenity Avriah Black 18 years of age. Please be nice to me" She said while smiling and returned to her sit. 

  "Next please" I sighed before standing and go to the front.

  "Keziah Claire Dawson 17" I simply said with a cold tone and returned to my sit. 

  "Okaaaaay? Ahm so shall we start?" Ms. Ford said and started the discussion. After an hour the school bell rang. It's already breaktime.

During lunch Serenity's still forcing me to throw a party. She's still blubbering and i stayed silent but listening to her. While listening to serenity something caught my attention a person i don't know if it's a boy or girl because he/she is wearing a long black cloak that's covering it's face all i can see is it's green eyes are looking at me. I know it's looking at me because we're seating at the the corner of the cafeteria so there's no table at the back anymore. I looked at serenity if she notice it but no. We looked at each other i narrowed my eyes at him he suddenly smirked and lift he's right hand then something came out from it's hands. Wait i-is it a black orb h-how did he or she did it! The heck! I was still on shock when serenity is shaking my shoulder while calling me.

   "Earth to keziah my goood i keep on calling you earlier what are you looking at?" She asked.

   "Have you seen someone standing on that tree? I don't if it's a he or she but have you seen it? It's wearing a black hooded cape" I asked.

   "No why?" She asked back.

   "N-nothing" I said.

   "Maybe you're just imagining something"

   "Yeah maybe i am"

   "Hmm let's go it's almost time"

    I just nodded and stood up but before we walk out the cafeteria i looked at the tree for the last time where i saw it. I shake my head. Yeah maybe im just imagining.

   *After 4 hours*

    Argh! I stretched my arms. It's time to go home. I arranged my things and left the classroom and went straight to the parking lot. Before i could enter my car, I saw it again. The guy with a black cloak. Okay im getting goosebumps because of the way he looked at me. I sighed just ignored it like i didn't see it and went inside the car and drove away. I arrived at home safely. 

   "I'm home" I said. 

   "Hey darling how's school?" Mom asked. She's watching TV while eating some chips.

    I sighed before answering. "Tiring" I sat on the couch beside her and sighed heavily. "Mom?"

   "Yes darling?" She answered.

   "Do you believe in magic?" I asked that made mom stop from what she's doing.

    "Why'd you ask?" She said seriously. I'm a bit shocked on what she acted but i just ignored it.

    "Well ahm i saw something at school and it's very strange maybe im just imagining or something" 

    "Why? What did nyo see?" She asked.

    "While eating lunch i saw someone looking at me it's wearing ahm black hooded cape and what interested me most is something came out from his right hand. It's a black orb" I said.

    I looked at mom she's pale she looked at the door and I followed where she's looking and i saw dad came from work. 

    "Ow hi hon, princess" Dad said while smiling and took off his shoes and walked towards us. 

     "Hey why so serious?"

     "Nothing btw dinners ready I'll just prepare it" Mom said and left the room. After dinner i went upstairs and prepare myself to sleep. I closed my eyes and fall in a deep slumber.
