Chapter 99

I felt my brow furrow and my eyes narrow as he spoke his mysterious words to me.

“You're attempting to deceive me, to trick me into believing something that isn't true. But I know better.”

I murmured to myself, my hands trembling as I held the sword tightly in my grip. The wind swept across us and I could feel it's icy chill running down my spine. Everything seemed so still and yet full of anticipation, like we were waiting for something to happen any minute. I shivered despite myself, not knowing what exactly was ahead of us but feeling some sort of danger lurking in the air.

“You’re not so sure about that, princess.”
