Everything happened too quickly for me to take in the fact that Adolf was scooping me up bridal-style, rushing at full speed through the enemy's land. He moved with remarkable agility and skill, deftly dodging obstacles and enemies alike as we steadily made our escape.

I had no time to think about what was happening due to my shock, but I instinctively clung onto him as a reflex action.
