In just a moment I was freed from their grasp, and I could finally take a full breath.

My hand traced along my neck as I took in the fresh air before turning my attention to Lowell who had once again rescued me from their Delta. A wave of relief washed over me, calming my racing heartbeat and clearing away some of the fear that had been clouding my mind.

Gonzalo took a step back, and his expression revealed the pain he was feeling. I followed his gaze downwards until I noticed the deep cuts along the length of his arm. His blood pooled onto the ground beneath him, and I couldn't help but gasp in shock at what had happened to him. My eyes then turned towards Lowell whose claws were still extended, a reminder of what had just transpired. It was a gruesome sight to behold.

“Lowell…” I whispered his name in a quiet voice, and he gave me an inquisitive glance, before drawing nearer to me. His presence was alluring; I could feel his warmth radiating from his body as he drew nearer. My heart

I felt my brow furrow and my eyes narrow as he spoke his mysterious words to me.“You're attempting to deceive me, to trick me into believing something that isn't true. But I know better.”I murmured to myself, my hands trembling as I held the sword tightly in my grip. The wind swept across us and I could feel it's icy chill running down my spine. Everything seemed so still and yet full of anticipation, like we were waiting for something to happen any minute. I shivered despite myself, not knowing what exactly was ahead of us but feeling some sort of danger lurking in the air.“You’re not so sure about that, princess.”Gonzalo and the other members of his pack began to encircle me, three against one. I straightened my posture and raised my guard, preparing myself for whatever they had planned. I thought back to all of the experiences I had, both good and bad. Starting from when I was young up until now, where suddenly these enemies in front of me seemed to be a looming presence in the

Neither of us spoke while lying on the ground, my head nestled against his chest. There was a certain sort of peace that came with our silence; a momentary reprieve from all the noise and chaos of the world around us. After a few moments, I felt myself drift off into a deep slumber as his breath danced its way over my body like a gentle summer breeze. I felt safe in his embrace, knowing without words that he would protect me for as long as I need it.He’s gently twirling strands of my hair between his fingers, a soothing motion that relaxes me like no other. His touch is tender, his gaze loving, and I can’t help but feel content in his presence. I close my eyes and take a deep breath in as I lean into him; the simple gesture has just enough weight to it to remind me how much I care for him.For a fleeting moment, the weight of our struggles felt like they had been lifted away. Everything seemed just right, and I was so grateful to be given this reprieve from reality. Despite the hards

The atmosphere was thick with an uncomfortable stillness as the silence stretched on and on, seemingly without end. It felt like the calm before a storm-nothing but deafening quiet and apprehensive anticipation. I could feel the tension in my body, my breath quickening as I waited for someone to break the silence. I was struck by how suddenly this quiet had descended on us, a collective holding of our breaths that had somehow left us all utterly speechless in its wake.“Daciana, are you hearing yourself?” the silence was so thick I could almost reach out and touch it, but then Stoic asked the question that felt like a heavy burden, shattering the silence that hung in the air between us.“Yes, and I am one hundred percent certain of what I said.”Everyone paused and looked at each other, stunned by my words. There was a tense silence as they tried to comprehend what I had just said; some were even beginning to shake their heads in disbelief. My statement seemed to come out of nowhere,

I stared in bewilderment at what he had said, my brows furrowing into a deep, straight line as I tried to comprehend the words that had just been uttered. The entire area was deathly silent; you could have heard a pin drop. No one made a sound, no one moved an inch. All eyes were fixed on Adolf of their attention, and all conversations had halted in their tracks. A palpable air of suspense hung in the air as everyone waited with bated breath for whatever it was that was about to happen next. Even the birds of the night seemed to sense something remarkable coming and flew off into the horizon, leaving the scene entirely free of noise or movement.“W-what do you mean?” I hadn't expected it to happen, but suddenly my voice began to crack as I spoke. I felt lost in the moment, unable to resolve the issue without stammering my way through whatever I had been saying.Adolf said nothing, but I could see the turmoil in his eyes. Years later...I took a deep breath, inhaling the pure air that surrounded me. I glanced around the area, looking at all the people and taking in my surroundings. A gentle smile spread across my face as I thought of how lucky I was to be there at this exact moment. The beautiful trees and flowers seemed to be flourishing in the bright sun, creating a breathtaking landscape. The birds tweeted happily in between small bushes, adding to the already joyful atmosphere of this place.“Daciana? What on earth are you doing out there. Don't you remember that you need to go inside and get yourself ready?”I didn’t look up at him when he called my name. Instead, I felt my feet leave the ground, as if I could reach the stars and fly away from here. Memories of days gone by cascaded into my mind like waterfalls, bringing with them a flood of emotions. They were memories both fond and painful that made me pause in that moment, feeling vulnerable but also appreciative for all life had given me.“Do

He smiled at me reassuringly, and then we both turned to face our foes. His gift to me had been a reminder of how much he cared for me, even in times of great peril. I felt an invisible surge of strength when I looked down at the glimmering metal against my chest; an assurance that no matter what would happen, Father was always by my side.“I’m so proud of you, darling.”Those were my father's encouraging words before we began to battle the groups of skulks advancing towards us. I had been preparing for this moment all week, equipping ourselves with weapons and practicing any tactical maneuvers that might give us an advantage. We had a duty to protect our home, and the feelings of anxiety that initially weighed on me had been replaced with a newfound determination. “Adolf…”Everyone in the room had their eyes firmly fixed on the two standing before them.Adolf, standing tall and determined, was facing off against Azariel, despite having lost to him previously.“I-is that Adolf?”I glanced down at my father, his form so fragile, as he suddenly spoke. His breaths are labored and shallow, every inhalation a struggle and every exhalation a relief. It breaks my heart to see him in this state, but despite all of the difficulty he smiles up at me with a strength that is indomitable.“Yes, father.”Wrapping my arms around him, I leaned in and snuggled against his neck. I felt a pang of sadness that once again he wasn't by my side. Father returned the hug, letting out a deep sigh that seemed to speak of his own pain at having to be apart from me. His embrace was comforting yet bittersweet; he was there with me but I hate it because we’re in this situation.
