Chapter 136: I Knew It

'Mrs. Carter watched her cat - walk away and then turned to face the children. 'You were so happy just now when you heard her mother wished to see you, why did your countenance suddenly change up on seeing her?' she asked addressing Lionel.

'She may have raised me but she isn't my biological mother', Lionel said. 'My biological mother is her sister and the mother of Landon and Leigh! Alexa Palmer was the person I thought had come to see us!' he revealed.

The headmistress was even more confused but she had a lot to do than listen to children's preferences . It was obvious that Lionel preferred his more caring aunt to his cold mother. Because though she tried to fake it, Mrs. Carter could see that Camellia Palmer was not as caring of her son as she acted. She was an old woman who had lived among mothers and was a mother herself and nothing passed her notice.

'Alright', she said. 'I don't understand what you are saying but you all should probably be getting back to your lunch before the
