AUTUMN’S POV

After Mathias and Dax left, I quickly tiptoed and went to Mrs. Potts room. I knocked on her door, and it took her a while before she answered. I was already getting impatient and was also scared if Mathias saw me here. If he did, I would have to explain, and it won't ever end.

She finally responded and asked who it was. “Who is it?” She asked. It is me, Autumn,” I responded. She came and opened the door, asking why I came back. “What are you doing here, Autumn?” She asked. I told her I would explain if I came inside, and she ushered me. I didn't want to be seen here by Mathias at all.

“I will explain later; please, can I come in?” I asked. She nodded and gestured for me to come in. After settling down for a bit, I answered the question she asked earlier.

“I came here to check up on you again and also to keep you company,” I said. “You just feel so lonely; well, I am too. I need someone to talk to,” I added.

She looked at me and laughed, asking where Kavan is. “Where is K
