CHAPTER 137

AUTUMN’S POV

Kavan left the room shortly after we came back from checking up on Mrs. Potts. He said he wanted to go meet his dad and also instructed me to lock the door after he leaves and never open it for anyone, no matter the circumstances.

I nodded in response, and he left, but not without him kissing me goodbye. When he left, I did not know what to do, and I just decided to go take a very nice cold bath to calm and soothe me.

After bathing, I decided to just rest and sleep for a while. After some time, I heard a knock on the door, and it was Kavan, thankfully.

“Autumn, it's me. Open up the door,” he said. I wanted to be sure, so I asked if it was him, “Kavan, is that you?” I asked. “Yes, it is me. Open the door,“ he responded.

I opened the door, and he was finally able to enter the room. He told me how he went to see his dad and the outcome of the conversation.“I'm just coming back from seeing my dad; I think he went to see Marcus earlier this morning,” he said.
