I tapped my feet as I waited for Sir Dominic to bring Misha to our chambers.

The room stood still with tension. Lord Jeremy had long stopped asking Mirra what it was that she couldn't tell us but she was too shaken up to give him a reply.

I glanced at Mirra, still tucked in to Sir Hunder's side, still hugging herself tightly as if there is an invisible force she's trying to fight off.

Her whole demeanor shouts trauma.

I've only see Mirra like this a few times when I was a young girl.

When men try to get close to her, when they raise their hands, when they look towards her direction... She would have a traumatic episode.

She would withdraw in to herself, ignoring all around her as she drowns in to the old memories that haunts her.

I didn't push Mirra to tell me what she knows. I knew it would make her reaction worse.

But curiosity and fear was eating at me as I look at her. What could she have known that's so bad that her old memories assaulted her?
