Frost Sorrow...

Going to the Art Chambers was not the brightest idea I have had so far. I'd considered going against it multiple time for the few hours we had waited for Midnight.

Victor had tried to convince me and I was honestly about to listen to him. But I would take a glance at my husband and I'd remind myself that it was a much needed strategy to know the minds of my enemies.

When Victor had left for his chambers to wait until he's be summoned, I sat by Barlion's side. With his right hand in mine, I took the next few hours just whispering things to him.

Not important things. Just simple things like the setting sun, the fast approaching cold season... Nothing of importance.

When I was about to leave his side, I saw his eyebrows twitch and my heart had stopped beating.

I'd cupped his cheeks with both of my hands and called his name out over and over again, thinking that he would open his eyes and look at me. But he didn't.
