When Alastor reached home he immediately went to look for Vevina. There was an emergence that had taken over him. He needed to tell her about his identity and then have her accept him. The whole process needed to be hurried for her to be introduced to the pack.

If he didn’t do that then he was afraid that soon enough there would be a chance that he would have to fight a big war between choosing his mate and the pack. He could only wish now that with Vevina’s already different personality she would accept his other side too.

He had run from the living room to his room looking for her but she hadn’t been there and then heading to the bathroom and he found that the other two rooms had been empty as well. Panic was about to take over him when he passed the kitchen and froze in his step.

There sat on the island was Vevina with a knife in her hand. He watched her stare at the silver metal, barely dressed in anything but her underwear. Raising it above her head to make it glint in the light

“No, you are not crazy,” Alastor said about to take a step forward towards her but seeing the expression of wonderment, confusion and wariness on her face, he sighed and stayed put, “Please brace yourself for what you are going to see next.”He said and then taking a deep breath in he closed his eyes and opened it again when Vevina saw that they were once again pitch black. She wanted to ask what was the trick that he was using to do it when she saw that Alastor’s hands that had been hanging on both his sides slowly started shaking. The nails elongated along with the fingers as hair sprouted out covering his wrist and the rest of it slowly started looking more and more like that of a beast’s arm. The same happened with his legs as his shoeless feet poked through the socks that he had been wearing and sharp claws came in the light forming further into the hind legs of an animal.Bringing her wavering gaze to his face in disbelief she saw that his face had almost been covered in fur too

“Are you ready to listen now?” Alastor asked, looking at her surveying eyes taking in each and every part of his body now that she had recovered from the many attacks of Bain’s love.“Yes,” she mumbled, staring into his eyes mesmerized the most by its changing colors. The complete black of it was such a cool effect!“So you asked me what a mate means, right?” he asked, making Vevina nod. “Mate actually stands for a shortened version of soul mate. You are my soul mate Vevina.”“I would have laughed at you if not for the fact that I had just seen you turn into a werewolf and then magically still have all your clothes intact on your body,” she said touching the material of his shirt.“That’s because there are many other magical creatures other than the werewolves and the witches helped the werewolves with this spell to stop the wastage of the clothes that was happening in the modern times. Unlike how our ancestors used to roam around easily in the nude, today's world isn’t as happy with

“Are you serious you brought me here?” she asked, looking around wondering how she should react.“Yes, since we are together now then I thought we should officially go on a date, don’t you like it?” Alastor asked, making her look around at the carnival that she was standing in.There were people all around her looking happy and joyous but there was a pricking in her heart that was making it difficult for her to decipher how she was to feel. She had never been at a carnival before. Her mother had never bothered to take her to one even when she had pleaded with her to. She had therefore abandoned that desire completely and forgotten about such a place. She wondered if she was sad about her childhood but knowing that she was in a way disobeying her mother’s wish by being present there was giving her some clarity and with every passing moment she seemed to love her surroundings more.“Of course I do, it’s my first time here!” she cheered doing a full spin to take in everything. “I didn’t

They had been walking around for about an hour when Vevina’s eye fell onto the balloon shooting game making her perk up.“Do you want to try it?” Alastor asked, knowing well enough her love for guns.“Yes, I do. I will win you a prize,” she said, staring at the numerous stuffed animals that were kept on the shelf behind.“It’s usually the other way around,” Alastor mumbled, already happy at the possibility of getting a gift from her.Seeing customers approaching his booth the man attending the shop came forward and asked, “Here to get your girlfriend a gift?”“Why would I need him to get me a gift? I am here to win one for him.” Vevina said the hostility was apparent in her voice and the man was taken aback by her tone, very different from the angelic appearance that she had.Vevina dressed in a pair of jeans and a low tank top looked simple and yet beautiful thanks to the genes her wretched parents had passed onto her. To a woman who looked so beautiful and yet to speak in such a ton

It didn’t take Alastor much convincing to get them inside the haunted house. All he had to do was pass them a bundle of thick notes and almost at once the whole staff had been ready to listen to his any command. They had shut down the building for the next two hours and had also turned off all security cameras along with emptying out the employees to go and have a paid dinner, a treat by Alastor.“The things a man can do with money. You disgust me by how you buy people with them,” Vevina grumbled with a glint of humor shining in her eyes along with a broad smile on her face.“You don't look too disgusted to me,” Alastor jabbed back, poking at her stretched lips.“Oh I am hiding it because I need to use you for the rest of my remaining life time,” she sighed walking in first. That made Alastor stop for a second and look at her. To have her admit and think of a lifetime with him was unrealistic and another big achievement that he had established. He wondered if she knew that she let out

“I think I fell in love with you all over again,” Alastor said, seeing her fight for the first time today. Hearing him say that Vevina was distracted by him and in that moment the balloon that she had brought back from the carnival and which she was tying to the handle of a drawer flew up to the ceiling.“Look what you did,” she said, staring up at the balloon stuck to the ceiling out of her reach. She had purposely ignored his comment about love feeling her cheeks flare in embarrassment. She thought she had been smooth with her change of topic but Alastor could see the brightened red of her cheeks and grinning at her he went up to her and jumping up he caught hold of the string easily and tied the balloon for her.Staring at him with her jaw slacked at the inhumane ability of his she noticed him chuckle at her surprise and grunting at him she muttered, “I am sure any werewolf could do that, don’t show off like you are better than the others.”“Oh but I am,” he said, crashing onto his

“Hello?” Vevina said, picking up her phone already knowing that it was Alastor speaking.“What are you doing right now?” he asked, finding a small break from his busy day at the office to finally give her a call.At his question she groaned and tapped the book open in front of her with the pen that she was using to highlight the points. “I was studying. Can’t believe I have to study again. Why does the history of your pack have to be such a thick book? Why do I need to learn it?”She had really liked studying when she was young and had always tried to ace her classes in her expectation to somehow win her parents’ hearts but over the time when nothing changed and she had still been neglected by her mother she had given up on it. The situation in school didn’t make it any better for her to continue to focus much but Vevina had been gifted with good brains like her father. The man might have not done anything for her but the genes that he had passed on was that of a genius and so it had

Vevina had been stealing glances at Alastor for the past ten minutes as he corrected the test sheets that he had prepared for her and she had just answered. She had never before felt this tense. She never had to make anyone proud enough to praise her but she was looking forward to his.“Hmm,” the sound escaping him made her look at him directly only to see that he was turning through another page while correcting it. She had tried making out her results as she watched him correct it but she was unable to get any information. His face was a blank mask.Playing with the hem of her loose shorts she decided to go and drink some water in the meantime to calm her down. Alastor had told her that the quicker she would be ready to be a Luna the quicker she would be able to meet his pack. Which would in turn stop from looking for a mate for him?The thought of someone else taking her place by his side boiled her blood and murder was the only answer that came to her head. “Mommy!” Vevina heard her three year old daughter call out to her as she came rushing to her side.“Alina, what did I tell you about running with your socks on? You might t fall down and hurt yourself, baby,” she said worrying about her naughty princess who as usual giggled at her words and didn’t listen to a thing she said.“Cookies!” Alana continued with her demand, letting her know the reason why she had come to her. She might have been young but her nose had just been sharp as any grown werewolf for her to smell them as soon as they were baked.“You can have them but before that you need to wash your hands, princess,” Vevina heard her mate's voice follow inside the kitchen carrying in his arms their five year old son Vinter.“Hi mommy!” Vinter greeted her as soon as he saw her. While Alana was a daddy’s girl, Vinter, her first born, had been a mommy’s boy so much so that he often refused to leave her side when he was a baby.“Hi my baby, go on and wash your hands and then you can

I don’t care whether you have that baby or not so please don’t let me bother you. You should do as you want.”She saw that even as he told her this his eyes were glossed with a slight shade of red. He must have been crying alone to hide it from her.She knew that it was her body that was going to undergo all these complicated processes and change but to hear Alastor not care about his wishes and be happy with just her made her realize the basic constitution of her family had been different than wh

“Though it usually isn’t the case but there are times when Alphas can be wrong about the pregnancy of their mate so it is always better to get a checkup,” Alastor said as the two sat outside the pack doctor’s office waiting for her to call them inside. When she had heard Alastor say this last night she had desperately wished for it to be true, she wished that she was not pregnant and that it had all been a misunderstanding. She didn’t think she could ever be a mother. While she didn't want this baby she could see that Alastor really wanted it. The whole of last night she had found it difficult to sleep while Alastor had hugged her to himself and had kept a protective hand over her stomach. It took her some time to realize but Vevina saw that there was a baby in her arms but weirdly enough she was watching herself as if out of her body. It didn’t seem to bother her much then as she continued to watch herself frustratedly patting on the child’s back. The baby continued to cry in her arms and no matter what she did it wouldn’t stop crying. She watched her prepare some milk for the baby but even as she filled the bottle there was something wrong about it. The milk seemed slightly green in color and she wondered if she had been using expired milk but without a care, shaking the bottle she watched herself feed it to the baby.It mustn’t have liked the taste because it puked it all out and cried louder than before making her throw the bottle away. It smacked against the wall and spilled all onto the ground, the bottle now lying broken and deformed.Tears started falling from her eyes and holding the crying baby she sobbed just as loudly as it did. It was pathetic to watch hers

When Vevina came out of the washroom after she had freshened up in the pack house she saw that Alastor had been waiting outside for her.“Is something the matter?” she asked, finding his expression to be a little odd.“There is someone I want you to meet,” he said and curious at who it could be she nodded and followed after him without another word.As she passed the people she saw them bow their heads at her, addressing her and thanking her for the food that she and Alastor had hunted in the run before. Well it had mostly been Alastor but she was there with him and it was the thought that counts.Passing through many people and lively rooms, Vevina at last found herself in a quiet corridor with no trace of another wolf there. The quietness was peaceful to her after the way she had been busy catering to everyone. She loved her new surroundings as it was emotionally taxing for a person that had never before been so loved, or loved at all, to be among this many people waiting for her to

“So what exactly are we doing right now?” she asked, watching all the people cheer and gather around.“We’re going on the traditional animal hunt. The Luna and the Alpha hunt together with the pack and the kills that they caught will be later cooked and served for all to enjoy. It's more like a bonding experience,” he said, making Vevina frown.“I would have liked it better if we could have gone on a hunting spree of humans instead of innocent animals,” she said, hearing a few coughs around her as she watched a few people sputter on their drinks. They must have been listening in on their conversation to have reacted that way.‘If you continue to shock them with words like that then they just might start fearing you,’ he said in her mind pulling her into a hug. ‘Intrusive thoughts should be kept away from them. There are children listening to you too.’‘Ah fuck, its going to take me some time to realize that every word that I speak can be heard by a hundred people around me,’ she said

When Vevina was brought back she had been dressed in a pair of leather jeans, a tank top and a leather jacket. She didn’t think them to be the ideal clothes for the ceremony but they were definitely comfortable to her and a blush came onto her face when she remembered what had happened the last time she had been dressed as such to go on a ride with Alastor on the bike.In these new clothes, the shape of her long legs were easily visible. Her fit form and the new aura of confidence that she carried with her turned heads seeing her in a different look other than the image of their traditional Luna who wore and were made to seem feminine.“Are you sure you don’t want to wear one of my dresses? I don’t mind lending it to you for the occasion,” Clarissa said, making Vevina look her way and laugh silently at the discomfort and wariness present on it.“Absolutely not. I think I am better this way,” she said, assuring her that she felt fine and finally saw Alastor waiting for her talking to a
