Vevina had been stealing glances at Alastor for the past ten minutes as he corrected the test sheets that he had prepared for her and she had just answered. She had never before felt this tense. She never had to make anyone proud enough to praise her but she was looking forward to his.

“Hmm,” the sound escaping him made her look at him directly only to see that he was turning through another page while correcting it. She had tried making out her results as she watched him correct it but she was unable to get any information. His face was a blank mask.

Playing with the hem of her loose shorts she decided to go and drink some water in the meantime to calm her down. Alastor had told her that the quicker she would be ready to be a Luna the quicker she would be able to meet his pack. Which would in turn stop from looking for a mate for him?

The thought of someone else taking her place by his side boiled her blood and murder was the only answer that came to her head. She would kill and brin

Without Alastor around, the day was as boring as it could be. There was no one to entertain her and with her studying over she had nothing to do except to train in the inbuilt gym. She had just finished one of her practice sessions and was lounging around wondering what she should do next. The sound of her bell ringing made Vevina jolt up from her lazy position on the couch and look towards it. Alastor had said that he was going to be late today so was here to see her?Could he have changed his mind and decided to come back home early because he missed her?Happy at the thought she rushed to the door almost tripping in the process of opening it.“Did you miss me too much-?” Words got stuck in her mouth when she saw who she had been staring at. She couldn’t believe the image of the person standing before her.The eerie grin that he always possessed was still visible on his face and she heard him say, “Yes, I missed you Vevina.”“Vlad…” she murmured in disbelief seeing her ex standing

Vevina stared at his face barely registering the question that he asked. Her body was gripped by a kind of fear that was hard for her to understand. She knew that she should slam the door into his face but she could barely speak as she continued to stare at his grinning face.“Looks like you are just as happy to see me as I am to see you,” she heard him say and then she watched as his eyes narrowed at her lack of response and he commanded, “Come here Vevina. Come and give me a hug. Don’t be rude. This isn’t how you should react to the only person who loves you.”As if her body had been a puppet in his arms she felt herself step towards him. While she wanted to run away and hide she couldn’t bring herself to do that. There was a strange feeling all over her body as she stared into his eyes. She had to listen to him.How could possibly refuse him?“Good, you are still such a meek woman,” he mumbled, making her want to deny his claims but she once again found it hard to even keep her mou

“Are you going somewhere Alpha?” Jax asked coming to Alastor’s side when he left the meeting room.“Well it is lunch time so I thought I would go and have a meal with Vevina. She wasn’t very happy when she heard that I was going to be late today,” he said and Jax noticed that it almost seemed like he was boasting about his relationship to Jax. He was happy to have his Alpha and Luna growing closer than ever but every time he mentioned her he was himself reminded of his pregnant mate.“I wish I could go meet Clarissa,” he said, making Alastor feel some sympathy for his Beta who out of his loyalty followed him to his office.“Don’t worry Jax, I think it shouldn't take me more than a week now for us to return back home. Vevina is almost ready,” he said, making Jax widen his eyes in astonishment. He knew that his Alpha had been bragging about how quickly his Luna had been progressing in all her lessons but to be ready within a week meant that she must have been of a more superior brain th

“I don’t know how I feel about this,” Vevina confessed, finding all the information that she had just been given by Alastor to be very strange. To let him sink his canines into her neck for a process called marking sounded painful. The prospect of a future where they both would be bound together for ever and ever certainly brought peace to her mind but the process wasn’t exactly something she understood. The fact that her ex-boyfriend had been a vampire who might have extracted blood from her wounds in a similar manner was pricking her soul, wondering if she should trust another mythical creature. But even as her logic tried to make her be wary of the situation, her heart that had already been leaning and listening to every word that Alastor spoke was trying to convince her to trust him.“If this marking and mating is something that will connect us together for the rest of our lives in such a manner that even your pack can't tear us away then why didn’t you use this before? You could

The day had finally come. Today was the day that Vevina was going to meet Alastor’s pack.‘Are you feeling alright?’ she heard Alastor’s voice inside her head making her jolt at the surprise of it. Since they had officially marked and mated Vevina could now mind link with Alastor by speaking to him inside her head. It was strange to hear another voice speaking to her in her mind and scowling at him, she said, “Didn’t I tell you to not surprise me like that?”Hearing her reply put Alastor at some ease. She was okay. He knew that Vevina wasn’t one to turn her back from a challenge and since she had been wanting to meet his pack for a long time now he was sure that she must have done her mental preparations and yet he worried for her. It could still be hard for a human to suddenly take in the domineering aura of a place full of mythical beings and he wanted to provide her with all the comfort she needed to avoid her from getting a bad first impression of them.‘From now on please talk to

“Luna no! Don’t do it Jeivel is one of our strongest warriors,” Clarissa said, coming to her side worried about her. She didn’t understand how a human could even say that to a wolf knowing the strength that they were capable of.“Clarissa, come back here,” Jax said, worried that she might hurt herself in the process. By now he had seen enough to know that Vevina was capable of anything that she believed in. He had been the one Alastor had called to get the haunted house cleaned where she had killed two of the rogues with just a dagger. She wasn’t a weak human.“But how can we let her get hurt-” Clarissa said at a loss of words as to why nobody was protesting her challenge. Why isn’t Alastor doing anything to save his mate? Didn’t he care about her?“Are you sure? I don’t want to kill you and then risk an angry Alpha on my back,” Jeivel said, scoffing at the arrogant manner in which she had dared him to a fight.“I promise you that Alastor will bring you no harm no matter what happens

Now that the fight was over Vevina felt her adrenaline crash and with some difficulty she pushed Jeivel’s body off her. She had been so less bothered by it that she didn't even glance at it as she stood up to look at Alastor who was smiling at her even though his eyes were unable to hide his worry.‘Should I bring you to the pack doctor? It must be paining too much,’ he said into her mind, unable to keep his fretting to himself even though to the world he seemed like a proud mate appreciating and trusting her completely.‘Thank you for trusting me,’ she said, making Alastor’s eyes narrow at her gratitude. She knew what that look meant. It meant that she didn’t need to ever thank him for anything. She knew that but she still was thankful to him. How couldn’t she be?He had changed her life and her completely.‘Give me a moment and then you can tend to my wound I can see that you are itching to do it,’ she said and walking to his side she watched a dumbstruck Clarissa look at her as if

When Vevina was brought back she had been dressed in a pair of leather jeans, a tank top and a leather jacket. She didn’t think them to be the ideal clothes for the ceremony but they were definitely comfortable to her and a blush came onto her face when she remembered what had happened the last time she had been dressed as such to go on a ride with Alastor on the bike.In these new clothes, the shape of her long legs were easily visible. Her fit form and the new aura of confidence that she carried with her turned heads seeing her in a different look other than the image of their traditional Luna who wore and were made to seem feminine.“Are you sure you don’t want to wear one of my dresses? I don’t mind lending it to you for the occasion,” Clarissa said, making Vevina look her way and laugh silently at the discomfort and wariness present on it.“Absolutely not. I think I am better this way,” she said, assuring her that she felt fine and finally saw Alastor waiting for her talking to a

“Mommy!” Vevina heard her three year old daughter call out to her as she came rushing to her side.“Alina, what did I tell you about running with your socks on? You might t fall down and hurt yourself, baby,” she said worrying about her naughty princess who as usual giggled at her words and didn’t listen to a thing she said.“Cookies!” Alana continued with her demand, letting her know the reason why she had come to her. She might have been young but her nose had just been sharp as any grown werewolf for her to smell them as soon as they were baked.“You can have them but before that you need to wash your hands, princess,” Vevina heard her mate's voice follow inside the kitchen carrying in his arms their five year old son Vinter.“Hi mommy!” Vinter greeted her as soon as he saw her. While Alana was a daddy’s girl, Vinter, her first born, had been a mommy’s boy so much so that he often refused to leave her side when he was a baby.“Hi my baby, go on and wash your hands and then you can

I don’t care whether you have that baby or not so please don’t let me bother you. You should do as you want.”She saw that even as he told her this his eyes were glossed with a slight shade of red. He must have been crying alone to hide it from her.She knew that it was her body that was going to undergo all these complicated processes and change but to hear Alastor not care about his wishes and be happy with just her made her realize the basic constitution of her family had been different than wh

“Though it usually isn’t the case but there are times when Alphas can be wrong about the pregnancy of their mate so it is always better to get a checkup,” Alastor said as the two sat outside the pack doctor’s office waiting for her to call them inside. When she had heard Alastor say this last night she had desperately wished for it to be true, she wished that she was not pregnant and that it had all been a misunderstanding. She didn’t think she could ever be a mother. While she didn't want this baby she could see that Alastor really wanted it. The whole of last night she had found it difficult to sleep while Alastor had hugged her to himself and had kept a protective hand over her stomach. Even the way he was stealing glances at her flat tummy when he thought she wasn’t seeing him was making her sad.He looked like he really wanted her to have a baby. She wondered what he would do if she denied having one.Would he leave her? It took her some time to realize but Vevina saw that there was a baby in her arms but weirdly enough she was watching herself as if out of her body. It didn’t seem to bother her much then as she continued to watch herself frustratedly patting on the child’s back. The baby continued to cry in her arms and no matter what she did it wouldn’t stop crying. She watched her prepare some milk for the baby but even as she filled the bottle there was something wrong about it. The milk seemed slightly green in color and she wondered if she had been using expired milk but without a care, shaking the bottle she watched herself feed it to the baby.It mustn’t have liked the taste because it puked it all out and cried louder than before making her throw the bottle away. It smacked against the wall and spilled all onto the ground, the bottle now lying broken and deformed.Tears started falling from her eyes and holding the crying baby she sobbed just as loudly as it did. It was pathetic to watch hers

When Vevina came out of the washroom after she had freshened up in the pack house she saw that Alastor had been waiting outside for her.“Is something the matter?” she asked, finding his expression to be a little odd.“There is someone I want you to meet,” he said and curious at who it could be she nodded and followed after him without another word.As she passed the people she saw them bow their heads at her, addressing her and thanking her for the food that she and Alastor had hunted in the run before. Well it had mostly been Alastor but she was there with him and it was the thought that counts.Passing through many people and lively rooms, Vevina at last found herself in a quiet corridor with no trace of another wolf there. The quietness was peaceful to her after the way she had been busy catering to everyone. She loved her new surroundings as it was emotionally taxing for a person that had never before been so loved, or loved at all, to be among this many people waiting for her to

“So what exactly are we doing right now?” she asked, watching all the people cheer and gather around.“We’re going on the traditional animal hunt. The Luna and the Alpha hunt together with the pack and the kills that they caught will be later cooked and served for all to enjoy. It's more like a bonding experience,” he said, making Vevina frown.“I would have liked it better if we could have gone on a hunting spree of humans instead of innocent animals,” she said, hearing a few coughs around her as she watched a few people sputter on their drinks. They must have been listening in on their conversation to have reacted that way.‘If you continue to shock them with words like that then they just might start fearing you,’ he said in her mind pulling her into a hug. ‘Intrusive thoughts should be kept away from them. There are children listening to you too.’‘Ah fuck, its going to take me some time to realize that every word that I speak can be heard by a hundred people around me,’ she said
