Chapter 4: Untold

Chapter 4:

Cindy was born into a happy family, she was a sweet and kind daughter when she was little.

On her 7th birthday, it was marked as an unforgettable and best moment in her life. Not until she saw his father with another woman.

She thinks it's one of their neighbours but the woman hugged her dad's back. And when she went outside to confirm what she saw they went like a bubble because they were gone.

While she's running in the street to find her dad she saw her dad's watch in the middle of the road. It was the watch that her mom gave to him.

She went to pick it up, she sat after she picked the watch in the middle of the road. She didn't notice that there's a car moving fast close to her.

She's staring at the watch because it has a crack in its glass. When she stood up the car driver was shocked because she didn't notice that Cindy was there.

Cindy got bumped in the car. The driver seems too nervous, she calls for help. All of the guests in Cindy's party went outside including her mom.

Her mom Stella, is confused as to who is the one who gets bumped. Stella finds Cindy then suddenly Han's friend calls for Stella to call an ambulance.

When Stella got close to the incident spot she was shocked that Cindy was the one who got bumped.

"What are you waiting for? Call for an ambulance immediately" Han's friend said.

Stella couldn't know what she should do, she was shaking while seeing her daughter lying on the ground full of blood on her face.

Stella saw her husband's watch in Cindy's hand, she asked herself why Cindy got that. She remembered that in the morning she wore it herself in Han's hand.

The car driver who got bumped Cindy was panicking. She called someone for help in her contacts. While the driver was on-call Stella couldn't control herself.

 She slapped the driver and she said "don't you know that it's her birthday today?" while she is shaking in anger.

The driver said she's sorry for what she did, she also said that it was an accident as well no one wants that. 

While Stella is calling for an ambulance she hears that the car driver called Han's name. She will ask why she called her husband's name but one of the staff on the ambulance wants further information while talking to the phone.

Stella needs to move away from the crowded place to hear her out of staff. While talking on the phone Stella didn't notice that the driver was gone.

Han's friends let her go, but Stella got mad and asked Han's friend why he let her go. "Are you an accomplice?" she added.

"Come on! It's just an accident, how can you punish someone if it is just an accident?" Han's friend said with his worried face.

Stella walks out and goes to her daughter while waiting for the ambulance. She sits and holds Cindy's hands and says "Please Cindy bear with me!" Stella's last word before she fainted.

The ambulance has arrived, Han's friend, the one who takes care of everything until they arrive in the hospital. After he assured Stella and Cindy are okay he left.

While Stella is still unconscious she dreams of her daughter Cindy playing in the garden full of yellow flowers.

While seeing Cindy in the distance, she's smiling not until she sees the woman who bumped Cindy. And she remembered she was also the woman who called Han's name while talking on the phone.

"Why did she call Han on the phone? Was my husband Han the same person as Han she's talking to? she asked herself.

She was still in mare, she saw Han running close to her, she smiled and she put her arms up, the sign that she will hug him.

But Han passed through her, and Han hugged tightly the woman on her side, the one who was the root of Cindy's accident.

Suddenly Stella woke up, she was startled that she was in the hospital. She stood up immediately when she remembered the accident of Cindy.

Stella headed instantly to the Nurse station, she asked where she could find Cindy. One Nurse guided her to the ICU.

Stella has begged the Nurses and Doctors she sees to help Cindy to survive. Cindy is still unconscious, one Doctor says there's a possibility that she may be admitted as comatose.

"I beg your pardon," Stella said with her worried face.

Stella is looking for her phone, but she couldn't find it because of her shaking hands.

She would like to inform Han that Cindy is not well, but she trembled when she found her phone.

Han leaves a message for her and says "I know you are already reading this message. Sorry, I couldn't take this anymore, I thought I could barely forget what I've done! Trust me, it's not my fault I drank that night and I don't know anything..."

Stella stopped what she was reading when the Doctor looked for her, "What he is saying? that jerk, what wrong he had done,"

Stella doesn't understand because she doesn't know yet what is going on.

She assists the nurses to safely transfer Cindy to her private room. She was handling the railing of the bed cart while she was saying to Cindy "I'm with you baby, no worries."

Cindy was safely transferred, Stella took her phone and she continued what she's reading, the text message of Han, "You can hate me, swear me. I know it's a swallow reason but it tortured me so much. I'm a jerk, don't ever let yourself love like me,"

"The night that my friend called you, It is not true that I'm in his place. Someone dragged me into the hotel but I don't know anything. What we've done is wrong. What you are imagined was true,"

Stella couldn't believe it so she tried to call Han, but he was unattended.

She was trying to understand what Han sent to her, "What is this message for? Was he cheating on me?"

Stella replied to his message, "I can't understand, where are you? Let's talk about this,"

"Why can't I reach you? please, not now. Your daughter is not in good condition to joke around like that."

She sent messages but she didn't receive a reply.

She couldn't reach Han so she called Han's friend, the one who called her that night.

"Hello! Sorry for disturbing you, I know you're busy but can you give me a minute for me?" she said.

Han's friend responded to her question as "Yes, no worries."

Stella asks him if what happened that night when he called her, and Stella asks a favour that he should answer honestly "You said that you are with Han at the Bar right?"

"Yes, I'm with him that night," he answered.

"And Han stayed at your place?" she asked.

"Ahm, Stella I don't know why I should tell you this but my conscience can't take this anymore,"

"Han was drunk that night, and he's with another woman. They went to the hotel, I'm sorry Stella, I think I'm at fault," he said.

Stella was forced to laugh, "What should I believe then? Thank you!" Then she hung up.

She sat on the bench while holding her phone, "Why? I thought I'm good enough! Why now? My poor baby almost died but he's not with me."

Next scene, Han was at the coffee shop near the hospital. He knows that Cindy was struggling by the accident.

He is waiting for someone. He saw someone pull the door of the coffee shop, he waved his hand and that person walked close to him.

It was the doctor who slapped him when Cindy was born, the Doctor pulled the chair and sat.

"How's Cindy? Is she okay?" Han asked with his worried face.

"Yes, she's okay now. I thought she would be under comatose but your daughter is a fighter,"

"Why are you here? I saw your wife a while ago, and why did you call for me?" the Doctor asked.

"Something came up, I don't know how to face Stella. For now, it's better not to show up on her," Han said.

"That's why you call for me?" the doctor asked.

"Yes, can you do me a favour? Please, help Cindy to recover. I'll pay her bills, don't tell Stella." Han begged while rubbing his hands.

"Of course, I'm a Doctor, what would be my use if I didn't help your daughter," the Doctor said.

"Thank you so much, here's your coffee by the way." Han's last word.

The Doctor smirks as he says goodbye to Han.

"I'm busy, I have a lot of patients. So see you next time. I don't know what you're struggling with but your family matters more." The doctor said as he stood up and started to walk away.

Han was thinking about what the doctor said, but he was determined to not show himself to Stella.

He was startled when the door of the coffee shop opened, he didn't know where to hide.
