Miriam's pov

It's been days Alicia hadn't spoken to me, unless I 'quit whatever relationship going on between I and her brother' as she so puts it. Jokes on her cause I ain't doing shit.

It's been a week after the party since I last saw Nathan, he haven't texted nor called. I was beginning to think what ever he felt has faded off. Could Alicia have convince him I wasn't good enough?. I don't know what else to think aside that, who collects a lady's number and not give her a text or a call for almost a week unless they'd lose interest.

My stomach grumbled loudly, I stood up from my bed and decided to take a showed first before eating. I was in the bathroom when I heard my phone ring, luckily for the caller I was done bathing, I wrapped myself up in a bathing robe and came out.

I picked up my phone it was an unknown caller, who could this be? My heart jumped at the thought of Nathan giving me a call. Finally! I smiled.

"Hello" I said into the phone eagerly.

"Hi, is this Miriam?" An unfamiliar voice asked.

"Yes, and who am I speaking to?" I asked cautiously.

"This is charles, Francesca brother, I wanted to inform you that I won't be coming to town anymore, you shouldn't bother bringing the box to the train station" he said. My smile dropped to level zero real quick, I didn't expect him on the phone, I had forgotten I was to meet up with a brother of Francesca to give him the box

Francesca had forgotten when she left for Hawaii.

"That's fine, so who is getting it?" I asked wanting to be sure

"Francesca would be coming over next week, she will come get it" he said.

"Alright, have a nice day" I said to him as I hung up the phone. I thought it was Nathan I sighed as I put on an old baggy T-shirt and my basketball short on. I am so fucking hungry, I need to get some food into my system, not really food but I do call cereal food.

I kept my phone on my bed since is as heading to the kitchen to grab some cereals, when my phone rang. "Argh!" I groaned walking towards the bed to pick up my phone, Another unknown caller,I rolled my eyes as I answered the call.

"Hello" I answered boredly. I need to get this call over with. My stomach needs some feeding, I stretched my hand and carried the pringles laid on the vanity mirror.

"Hi, pretty lady" the caller responded. It was Nathan. I almost choked on my Pringles. What the hell! Just when I wasn't expecting him, he called.

"Long time no see, stranger" I said acting nonchalant. He laughed out heartily.

"I have been on a business trip love, the day we left that party I had an emergency and had to travel to Germany to get some work done, it's been hectic since I left reason why I couldn't get to text you not call you" he said giving me an explanation to his disappearance.

"I guess you are back now?" I asked sounding hopeful.

"Yes I am, can I come pick you up tonight, if you don't mind? He asked.

" is that a date?" I asked.

"Yes it is, only if you are interested"

"Of course, you can come pick me up, I will send the address to you" I said.

"You don't need to worry, I know where my sister lives", he said " I pick you up by eight get prepared"

"See you then" I said.

"See you" he said and I hung up the call.

Girl it's time to get some shavings, I went back into the bathroom abandoning my cereal, money first food after.

I was dressed in a mini black strapless gown, that stops above my knees which had a slit almost to the hip bone, the slit was covered with a rope that went through it in a zigzag form thereby not making the slit obvious.

The dress accentuated my figure properly, giving my ass the right amount of shape it needed, and my pesky little boobs stood braless in the dress. I finished my look with a red lipstick and a high black heel giving me an average height. I stood at 5ft, some would call me short, others would call me tall, it all depended on their height, it never bothered me though.

At exactly eight, I heard the knock on the door. I knew it was Nathan. I carried my purse and did some finishing touches and added a little bit of perf, I wouldn't want to suffocate him or myself.

I opened the door and there he was in his dark tuxedo suit, looking gorgeous than the first-time I saw him, his curly wavy hair stilled with a little bit of gel in it, he was holding some flowers in his hand.

"Hi" he said and kissed me on the cheeks

"Hi" I responded. He released me and handed me the flowers.

"Here, my pretty lady".

" Let me drop this in," I said as I collected the flowers and moved inside to put it in a vase.

"Shall we?" I asked as I came out.

"We shall" he said as he smiled at me giving me his arms to take.

The upscale restaurant was a classy one, I could tell from its interior, the designs were magnificent. We were led to our table and Nathan pulled out a chair for me to sit on. What a gentleman!.

The waiter brought in the menu, I didn't know what to pick, the menu had tantalizing food which got me confused that I didn't know which to pick, so I settled down for a lobster bisque and a Riesling wine while Nathan settled for grilled and Roasted salmon with a Chardonnay wine.

We were both enjoying our meal, when I felt cold liquid dripping off me.

"Ah" I gasped out in shock, I stood up looking for the culprit, when I saw the daughter of Jezebel or was it Jezebel holding an empty glass of wine smirking at me.

"How dare you?" I asked angrily" what is the meaning of this?" I said standing up.

"Amelia, what's the meaning of this nonsense?" Nathan asked as he stood up. Everyone in the restaurant were focused on us. Who would want to miss such juicy gist for their boring life anyways?

"I should be asking you the meaning of this nonsense I am seeing" Amelia fired hotly at the both of us, so it seemed.

"Amelia go home" Nathan said fuming.

"Go home?, you want me to go home why you are here with this whore?" She screamed loudly.

"You are going to watch your language, you and I have been done a long time ago, I suggest you leave without causing yourself more embarrassment" Nathan warns.

She dragged my clothes going mad on me. The security came in and kicked us both out leaving Nathan to clear the bills.

"Why didn't you tell me you had a psycho for a girlfriend?" I asked with my hands on my chest as I waited for his reply.

"I am really sorry for all the troubles I put you in this evening" Nathan said solemnly.

"Amelia and I were a thing, we broke up some weeks back and em…i would say she doesn't want to get used to it"

I sighed. "Honestly, I don't know how I feel or what to think".

" I'm sorry, I should have told you about her, I didn't see the need to bring her up since she was in the past" Nathan said .

"It's okay, I just hope another psycho won't spring up on me" I said jokingly.

"On my honours, there's none" he said as he chuckled.

"I would love to do this some other time" he said staring deeply at me

"Same here. I enjoyed tonight's date well if you would exclude the other part" I said and we both laughed at it.

"See you next time" I said as I gave him a kiss and handed his jacket over to him turning to go inside.

"Night, love" he said as he watched me go in.

I went in with a smile on my face, everything was going as planned.
