CHAPTER THREE

Miriam's pov

Nathan and I have been couples for three months now, Alicia had moved out of our dorm room the moment she heard the news about Nathan and me, I could care less.

Nathan purchased a penthouse for the both of us, so I moved out of the dorm. There was no use staying there when I spend most of my time in the penthouse anyway, most times I stayed alone in the penthouse when Nathan went off on one of his business trips.

I was alone in the house today, I have been alone for a week now, Nathan was off again, I was bored out of my mind and I decided to call Stephanie. Steph, as we call her, was a lady from my Neighborhood who I met when I decided I wanted to rip off those Rich guys. She taught me the art of seduction and how to up my game well.

"Hello," Steph said into the phone after a couple of rings.

"Hello Steph, how have you been?" I asked starting off with greetings.

Stella laughed out from the other end of the phone " Come on Miriam, I know you wouldn't call if you weren't bored, hot stuffs isn't home right?" She asked and I gave out a sigh.

"Fine, you caught me, well he isn't home and I have been here all week, I'm going out of my mind" I said.

"You are in luck, some of the girls and I are meeting up in Exclusive for the party the Don would be throwing tonight, you could come" she said inviting me.

"Oh thank you Steph!, I was beginning to go out of my mind" I said, thanking her. Thank God I won't be in this boring as hell place tonight.

Steph let out a light chuckle"its nothing, you know I got you right?, now and always"

"I know, thanks Steph" I said smiling into the phone

The Don was the head of their Mafia " The outlaws" he always held parties every evening in one of his clubs, on special occasions he hosted one in Exclusive also owned by him.

The place everyone gets to move without the fear of being caught, no guns, knives or weapons of any sort was allowed.

This was where the men of high society go every Friday night to have fun, few were allowed in and that's on invitation. I would be going with Steph which means men hunting for the girls and I.

I got to the entrance of Exclusive, there was no sign of Steph. I called her phone countless times and it's been directing me to drop a voice message. I sighed as I stood there watching people go in and out.

"Hello there," I raised my head to put a face to the voice. Holy moly! There stood the most tall, violent eyed man I have ever seen. My mouth dropped open and I just stared at him for a good five minute. Kidding!, but I did stare for a minute though.

"Are you okay?" He asked bringing me back from la la la land.

"Hi" I answered, feeling my legs shaky."yes I'm fine, don't mind me" I gave a fake smile waving my hands off.

"I am josh, I saw you standing all alone looking pretty, and I thought why don't I keep the pretty lady company" he said and I laughed, what a flirt!

"So, What's a pretty lady like you doing outside here standing alone?" He asked.

"Well I was supposed to be here with my friend, you know getting in must be with invite so here I am waiting for her after countless of calls" I said with a shrug of my shoulders.

" You could use my invite, perhaps wait for her inside?" He asked.

"Thank you" I said gratefully as I followed him in.

The club was blasting with music and people on the dance floor. He led me to the vip's area. This was a place for the most affluent. He led me to his booth and we both sat down while we ordered margaritas and martini.

"Hey Josh, you finally made it man, '' a guy I assumed to be Josh's friend said which earned an eye roll from.

" I am only doing this once, Adrian," Josh replied.

Adrian, as I just found out turned to look at me.

"well, well, well, where did you get this hottie? Josh" he asked.

"Curiosity kills the cat you know?" Josh answered.

"Yeah, but satisfaction brought it back" Adrian replied feeling like a smart ass.

" On a serious note, where did you find this hottie?" He asked again.

"This hottie is sitting right here, she isn't dumb neither is she deaf" I said wittily.

"My bad, I am just so surprised to see my friend here 'Josh with a lady" he said.

I raised an eyebrow at that "you know it's rude to talk about someone when they can practically hear you?" I asked.

"I am sorry", he apologized " I guess we started on the wrong foot, I'm Adrian, josh friend" he offered an handshake.

"Miriam, the host acquaintance I guess" I said accepting his apology.

"So what was with the surprise about Josh being with a lady?" I asked curiously.

"Hey, I'm here yuuno!" Josh exclaimed and we all laughed.

"Okay, my friend here is a workaholic, I and my other friend Mike invited him here to release some tension, and being the workaholic he is, he doesn't like associating himself with people, apparently he no time for that" Adrian said lifting his fingers to a sign of quote.

"Wow, I am surprised really" I said, he was the one who walked up to me, so I wasn't expecting this.

"The mission was to get him matched with a lady, don't judge I am only helping a friend" he said with a light chuckle..

"I am not" I said smiling.

"I guess our mission is completed, where is Mike?" Adrian asked looking over to Josh.

"I should be asking you, didn't you both leave together?" He asked.

"Who is missing this hot specimen?" another gorgeous guy asked as he entered, I am guessing this is Mike. They were all gorgeous in their own way.

Adrian rolled his eyes and Josh chuckled

"No one, you are so full of yourself" Adrian answered.

" why, thank you"Mike answered with a bow and we all laughed.

" hi, I am Mike, those two idiots friends" he introduced himself to me, what a gentleman!

" Hi, I am Miriam an acquaintance" I replied.

"Nah, we are going to change that to a friend, here put in your digits" he said handing me his phone.

"Here you go" I said handing over his phone back to him, that instance my phone rang, it was Steph.

"Hey steph" I said into the phone.

"Hey, where are you?" She asked.

"Inside" I said curtly not wanting to say much.

"How did you get in?" She was surprised. It wasn't news that getting an invite to Exclusive was hard, only if you are part of the affluent people in the society, a member or you know one.

"A kind gentleman saw me standing outside alone and invited me in,'' I said, glancing at Josh while his friend oohhed at him.

"Josh, can my friends come in?" I asked still on the phone with Steph.

"Sure!" He responded, going back to the discussion the trio were involved in.

"You heard the man, you can come in" I said as I hung up.

I was so engrossed in my discussion that I didn't notice when Steph came in.

"Boom" Steph said into my ear startling me.

"Oh my God Steph, you startled me" I said putting a hand on my chest.

"Mike, Adrian, Josh, this is my best friend Stephanie, and Stephanie, this is Mike, Adrian and Josh" I said introducing them.

After the exchange of pleasantries, we dicided to party harder, this was the influence of Steph.

"Argh" I groaned as the bright light blinded my eyes.

"Raise and shine, sleeping beauty" Steph yelled. Making me groan more.

"Go away Steph, I have an hangover" I said rolling to sleep in properly, how she wasn't hungover was still a mystery, lucky bitch she has high tolerance for alcohol.

"Tada, here is some aspirin, I got it for you" she said, handing it to me as I opened my eyes to take the glass of water from her. I stopped in my tracks as I realized the unfamiliar room I was in.

"Where are we?" I asked Steph giving her a wide eye, I tend to do crazy things when I am drunk, since Steph was here I wasn't scared just surprised, who's were we though?, I have been to Steph's place countless of times and this place doesn't look like hers.

"Whose place do you think?Josh 's place obviously" she said, rolling her eyes.

The events of yesterday came flashing back at me, "oh God!" I groaned putting my head on the bed, as I remembered twerking and making out with Josh in the club last night.

"Come on it wasn't even bad" Steph said laughing. I took the aspirin to calm down the knocking sounds on my head.

"It was, I have a boyfriend and I was twerking and whoring myself out there last night" I said.

"What's wrong with you girl?, I thought I taught you better, I see you are in need of an impromptu lesson, which I won't hesitate to give you" she said.

"You mean, I should date Josh while I am also in a relationship with Nathan?" I asked trying to be clear.

"Duh" she answered.

"But, Nathan loves me and…"

" And what?", She interrupted "look babes he is always going to choose family over you, the day his sister finally convinces him to leave then what?" Speaking sense into me

"I understand, I just need to get josh to fall for me and I'm in" I said as I stood up.

"You don't have to work much, it is obvious he's already falling, and falling hard I must say" she said.

The door opened which revealed Josh standing on the other side with a serious face on. Did he hear us?
