Chapter Thirteen

Ada's pov

Ada was not sure if she was just tired or really disappointed in how the room looked. She was not expecting much but what she was standing inside of was not a place any human could stay. The room was full of dust, the curtains looked so dirty like they had not been washed for days, the bed was not laid, the air conditioner seemed to be malfunctioning and to top it off, the television in the room was not working. Ada tried her best to not cry. Maybe it was a mistake to have left Ike. She has tasted the good life and now she can’t seem to adjust back to the kind of life she lived all her life. The truth was, this room was better than the house which she grew up in and shared with her other siblings, father and stepmother, but why does she suddenly feel irritated about being in a place like this? She never wanted to feel like she was better or better than what she actually was, but she would not help but feel sorry for herself.

She opened the door and went back to the reception
