“Eli?” Katie whispers as I join her. It wasn’t a suggestion or a question. She was just looking for confirmation of the scent she could smell.

“Eli.” I confirm as all of her emotions hit her at once.

“What was he looking for? He even trashed Flynn’s room.” She looks around me. “Where is Flynn?”

“I thought it was best that he didn’t see this. He’s already missing his mum, he doesn’t need to see his home like this. One of the Hybrid's is looking after him.” I reassure her

Her hands cover her face. “Why the hell would Eli do this?”

“By the looks of it, he was searching for something. But right now, I’m more concerned about how he got in.”

She peers through her fingers at me. “The pack is so heavily guarded. You think someone on the inside helped him?”
