I didn’t mean to cause a problem. I just wanted to help. Hurrying across the grass, I almost slip over, it had been raining for days and the ground had become a bit of a mud pit.

Steadying myself, I slow down, carefully dodging the puddles of water that had formed. It was the worst weather we had seen in a long time and the grey clouds above didn’t give me much hope for a better day.

“WHAT IS THIS?!” My father snaps at me as I open the door. I hadn’t even had a chance to take my coat off.

He is gesturing to my mum’s open medicine bag and the notes that were scattered everywhere.

“Dad, it’s not what you think.”

“I told you I didn’t want to see any of this. I don’t need you meddling in this crap, look what happened to your mother.”

“I….” I shake my head and catch a glimpse of Flynn looking around his bedroom door. He may be deaf, but he could always feel the vibrations from my fathers anger.

“I thought I might be able to help Bella.”

“Queen Bella.” He corrects me for the millionth
