Kiara POV

A deep growl erupted to the right of me reminding me Jeff was in the room. I looked at him and put my hand up to stop him from saying anything or doing anything rash. “It’s my decision Jeff, you don’t own me and my decisions” I said full of confidence while squinting my eyes at him. Who does he think he is? To be honest I’m not fully on board with this whole mate thing. I get we were made for each other by the Almighty Moon Goddess but I never signed up to be told what I can and cannot do. I’m my own person and I will not allow someone else to dictate my life for me. Not anymore. He looked at me shocked with wide eyes like I just slapped him across the face. I looked at my aunt Karina and she had a smug smirk across her face and her arms across her chest. “ Well it’s settled then!
