Chapter 27

Jenn's POV

The rays from the sun shining through my window woke me up. I looked at the clock to see it was nine in the morning. I usually woke up around seven thirty. I was sure I slept later because of how comfortable I was in the soft bed that's covers smelled of Lucien's scent. He had the best scent in the world of pine and rain.

I hopped out of bed and headed to the bathroom to prepare for the day. After using the bathroom, I hopped in the shower and used my strawberry-scented body wash. After showering, I put on a blue t-shirt and shorts, brushed my teeth and hair, letting my hair hang loose, and exited the bathroom.

I decided to see if Lucien was up, so I exited the room and went to the bedroom Lucien was staying in last night. I knocked on the door and called his name, but there was no answer. I hesitantly opened the door a few seconds later to see the bed was empty. Before I could close the door, the bathroom door opened, and I froze in place.
