Lucien's POV

I had planned to spend the entire day with Jennifer. It was her first day at the Palace, and I didn't want to leave her, but I had no choice. The Werewolf Council said there was something urgent they needed to speak to me about. I could have told them I was busy and would have to wait because I was the King, but I had to ensure everyone was safe. It was my job to take care of all the werewolves, so if they had something important to discuss, I needed to know what that was.

"Thanks for speaking with us with such short notice, King Lucien," Roman, the head of the Council Member, said. After learning that the Council had some Members, like Norman were, abusing their position, I started an investigation. I learned that most of them were also using their position abusively or had knowledge others were and decided not to say anything.
