I followed her through the house. We didn't speak until we were outside with the rest of the pack. They were all convened in training, standing around in a large circle. Someone was at its center that held everyone's attention. There were slight murmurs among the crowd, but as I strained to hear, I was caught by the arms giving me a start.

I followed the hand on me up to the person holding me. It was Killian.

"I've been looking everywhere for you."

"Sorry," I said. I wasn't sorry. "I was with Topaz."

"Adam is back. I thought you'd want to see who brought him back to us," he said, smirking.

I looked to Topaz to confirm what Killian said was true, but worries were all over her face when I met her eyes. I glanced back at when he took and pulled me along toward the crowd with him.

Killian pushed past members, trying to prevent them from bumping into my bulge, and they smiled at me, congratulating Killian for finally having a child with me. I was so sick hearing this, but for the

I swallowed hard while looking at Killian, who obviously enjoyed watching me scared. "I could kill you and your child, my dear Rain. But that would be a waste. I didn't endure everything just to kill you in the end," Killian whispered while touching Erix's mark on my exposed collar skin. His smile was menace and peril. There was nothing kind about it. His eyes were pools of endless black, making me feel like I was staring into a dark abyss. I know his wolf has taken over, as I can feel my wolf's fear. He is insane, Rain! He will do anything to us after he gets what he wants. I can feel our old mate's wolf unstable. "I know. I know. But if we disagree, Killian will kill our pup. I don't want that to happen," I replied to her with my hopelessness. If we do this, we will be forever bound to him. He was our fated pair. There's no turning back once he marks us. "Then so be it. Our pup's safety comes first, and we'll consider what to do next. Right now, I don't want to think. I'm to

My hands were in hard grips, my fingernails cutting little marks on the inside of my palm. It was everything I could do to hold it together and not make an attempt to bash Rijel's face. He reached out and placed a hand on Killian's shoulder. "Come on. Let's give them some time alone. I'm sure they have much to say to each other, and Adam is waiting for us. We have a lot to arrange before tomorrow.""Of course," Killian replied, eyeing me. "I'll expect you to behave, Love. I love you. I'll be back," he added, giving me a quick kiss on the lips, and then he was gone. Even though I hated it, my body liked what Killian did, even my wolf. She wasn't as happy as when it was Erix kissing us. Killian has developed a favorite hobby after we transfer to his own house. He would go rough on me, torturing me with his silver knife collection, and sometimes he would chain me up. He won't touch me only when I'm with baby Clay. Even if Clay is Erix's child, he never lands his hands on him. He only

Believe in him. Wyatt, you're wrong. Erix won't be the same again if he knew Killian overwrote his mark and bond from me. "Love, I'm going out tonight with Rijel," Killian said while fixing his tie. "Topaz will be expecting you with the baby after we leave. Once I'm home, I'll fetch you up," he added. "Okay," I replied, smiling at him. "What time are you going home?" I asked him before trying to make his suit straight. "As soon as the business is over. So don't do anything I don't like, Rain. I have eyes all over." One of his trusted guards took me to Topaz's house. Thankfully, the time worked on my part. "Wyatt is waiting for you. Let's go. I'll lead you to where he was and I'll look for you son while you two talk," she said, smiling at me. She then led me to the back part of her house and into a clearing behind the trees next to the pool for her kids. A beautiful garden met me. It was overgrown with wildflowers, honey-suckled, and wild roses of all kinds and colors. I

I gasped and clutched the letter to my chest. It had been so long since I heard Erix's voice in my head and it shattered me. My legs felt like jelly and my chest was being crushed. I missed him terribly. I hadn't allowed myself to think about Erix everyday because I'm afraid when I let my thoughts linger in him,I'll break and fall apartI'm not his anymore. Our bond has been corrupted. I don't have the right to claim him anymore. But now, I couldn't help it. I had to think of him, his letters, his words, his hands that touched the very same letter as I did. She tried to catch the scent of Erix on the letter as hard as I could. My wolf and I needed it even though I knew I knew my body would hate it. Both of us need the scent to make our love for him remain in our hearts. My wolf and I cling to a thin thread of hope of love we had for Erix even though it wont it would last. "Rain," Wyatt said softly. Wyatt brought me out of my stupor. I looked at him with a painful smile. I hadn't re

Come home. I already told Elvin to take you home. I'll be there in a minute. It was a mind-link massage from Killian after Topaz let me use her shower. I know he would be furious if he smelt Wyatt on me. "Killian's calling," I told her. "Will you be alright? He's not mad, is he not?" she asked me. I smiled at her. "He will be if he smells Wyatt's scent on me," I replied before taking Clay out of the crib. Topaz smiled at me. "Be careful, Rain."As soon as the guard left, I started to walk toward Clay's room. Killian doesn't want my son to be with me in our room. He told me that having a son with another alpha already hurt his pride. I didn't argue anymore, so I followed him. "Rain!" I heard a shout from the first floor of the house. When I ensured that Clay was sleeping, I went down hurriedly. I saw Killian, wearing only a short while, his torso, and mouth dripped with blood. I could smell that the blood wasn't his. "Good evening, Love," he said, smirking. His eyes became th

Rain, Erix, and all our allied pack will await us across the forest. We will leave tonight, and I want you to be prepared by then. Meet me at the edge of the training area. I know you know the place. Be ready, and we will lead them to a trap. -Wyatt.Because there was no chance for Wyatt and me to meet, he sent Topaz to my house to deliver the message. Killian didn't see her as a threat, so he let her in. She pretended to deliver me a cake she had baked and slipped the paper into my hands. Topaz's gaze gave me a good luck message as she smiled at me before leaving. This is it. My escape will finally be happening. From a distance, I could hear the start of the ceremony. I've packed enough needs in my baby bag, securing Clay's clothes. If we escape now, I need to prepare for his needs first. Killian told me to come when I felt like I wanted to since he believed I still hated Wyatt. The house has a good amount of distance, and I would have enough time to escape. The music played soft

I'm not particularly like small and narrow spaces. And this one in front of barely fits one person. After Wyatt closed the rock and we were both inside, I felt suffocating. "Rain, let's go. We need to go. Rijel will notice my absence, and it will alert everyone. Come on,"I took a deep breath and shook away my fear of small spaces. I understood Wyatt's sense of urgency and had to push aside all that. My son depended on me, and he was my priority. As we started to walk, the space started to get narrower. There were sharp edges of the spaces that sometimes cut through my skin. It didn't bother me. What bothered me was the fact that I started to breathe heavily. My instinct started to think about Killian, but I ignored it. "Are you okay, Rain? We are getting closer to the exit," Wyatt asked me. "Do you want me to carry Clay instead?" "Y-yes p-please," I replied. "The pull started to take a toll on me," I added before giving him my sleeping son. It was dark inside, but I could see Wy

  • The Howl of Rejection   Chapter 101: Day two of escaping

According to Wyatt, the secret passage we walked in was the back part of the pack. He planned it since it would throw Rijel's pack away from us and give us enough time to provide them with a good amount of distance. If I was right, we only had about four or five more days until we found the base camp of the Erix's allied wolves. Hopefully, Erix would be there waiting on me and risking his life for me and our pup. The pain became unbearable, but I tried to shake it off. What if Erix won't take me again? What if he only wanted our son? What if he'll throw me away? I must have looked concerned because Wyatt reached over and grabbed my hand to reassure me. "Erix is not that kind of an Alpha, Rain. He knows what you have been through. Don't worry, and he'll kill Killian and claim you again," he said, smiling at me. I gave him an exhausted smile. "Don't worry, Rain; I'm sorry I'll try my best to go to our mate. Hold on a bit, and when our dearest frees us, we will be free from this pai

“Will you marry me?” The first words came from Erix’s mouth when I woke up. I was about to yawn and prepare myself for a whole day of Luna and Mother duty. I looked at Erix and then at the white and gold ring with a diamond and some bluish precious stones circling the largest diamond. “Uhm, Erix?” I asked him, confused. “We already became mates, a werewolf wedding, plus we already had four children. I think it’s too late for this,” I added. “It’s never been too late for us to get married, baby,” Erix said as he held my left hand. “It’s my dream to marry a woman I love like my Dad did to Mom.”I smiled at him. What he said warmed my heart, and who am I to say no to him? “Will you marry me, Luna?” He asked again. I nodded at him. “Yes, Erix. I’ll marry you,” I said. “So when are you going to marry me?” I added, teasing him after he slid the ring to my finger and kissed it.“As soon as possible,” he replied. “I want an extravagant wedding, something we can never forget. I growled so loud. It was the only way for the black wolf to distract what he was doing with my Rain. The wolf stopped from biting her. Rain collapsed on the ground, panting heavily. Pregnant she-wolves were prohibited from shifting since the baby might crash. But why on earth was Rain in her wolf form despite being pregnant? The answer lies in the bastard, who had a cocky smirk, even in his wolf form. Suddenly, ten wolves tried to tackle me on the ground. I was too careless; my whole attention was with Rain, and I forgot I was in a battleground. The wolves pinned me down, ensuring I could see what was happening with Rain. Rain looked at me, still panting. She was forced to stand up but failed miserably. There was another wolf behind her who was covered in blood, and I doubt if it's still breathing. Rain's wolf huffed, trying to crawl to me, but the Black wolf stepped on her back. Rain whispered as I growled at the black wolf, warning him not to dare. The black wolf looked at

Erix's point of viewWhat Jordan told me was like a bomb exploding in my face. Rain is pregnant, not mine, but with someone else's baby! My wolf was in a rage; it wanted to rip this man's head before me, but I tried to calm him down. But what enraged me more was the man who had her was none other than Diesel Saavedra, Zander's best friend. "Starting from your parent's death to Rain's pregnancy, it was all planned," Jordan told me as he was driving. "The Blood Pack was just a distraction that Diesel had created and secretly pulled the string without anyone noticing it," he added. "Is there any particular reason why that bastard decided to ruin mine and Rain's life?" I said, trying to calm down. "For power," he said. "And for Rain. He has been wanting her since she was just a little girl; hence, he impregnated her because he wanted Rain to be his mate, and getting her pregnant through threat was just a bonus.""Threatening her?""Yes, like he'll kill you and your pack, which we know

"Erix," I breathe, stepping through the front door. He clenched his jaw and looked at me. "Rain?" His voice was shaky. "Erix, I'm home," I smiled and ran to him. He pulled me into a tight hug. Tears form in my eyes. I'm relieved to finally go home. "I thought you were dead," Eris whispered in my hair. I fell silent for a while. "Rain, you have to leave," he croaked. I pulled away from him and furrowed my eyebrows."What? Why?" "There's someone else, Rain. You were gone so long that I couldn't help but fall in love with someone else," he said.A look of regret crossed his face. My lips parted, and I started to say something."What about Clay? Amira? Where are they?""They're fine. They have a new mom now. You left them, and it's all your fault," Erix growled. It's all my fault."B-but I can explain why I was gone," I begged him to just listen to me, but Erix didn't show any sympathy. "I don't need someone like you anymore. Hence, I should have let you die when you decided to kil

"Who are you? Why are you trespassing on my territory?"A man in his late forties appeared behind a large tree. Five more wolves joined him and bore their canines to us. "P-please," Alice begged them. "We don't mean any harm. We only crossed this land because we were being chased. We're sorry for trespassing, sir."The white wolf who tackled Alice let her go and shifted into a man. He looked intently at Alice as if fighting something within him. "Where did you come from, and who was chasing you?" the older man asked. "We're from Greyhound Pack," Alice replied. Suddenly, a loud growl erupted from the man who shifted recently. "That bastard's pack!?" he growled. "Calm down, Jean. We need to know how they came here and stuff. Take them to the pack for interrogation," the older man said. He was probably the Alpha. Some of the wolves carried our bags and shifted into their human form as we walked to a path cleared of snow.We walked for about half an hour before a beautiful and mode

"Rain, do you think you can walk?" Alice asked me out of nowhere. "Yes, I can. Why?" "I feel uneasy. Let's get out here. Something bad would happen when I feel like this," she added. "Come, let's go," she said, bringing out the bags full of baby's clothing and some of our clothes.Without questioning and believing her, I helped her pack. "It's snowing. The scent of snow blocks any scent of potential intruders. With Diesel's connection, I can' assure us we're still safe here. It's better than sorry."Alice shifted into her wolf form and told me to ride on her back. I did what she wanted, and as soon as I tapped her gently, saying I was good to go, she sprinted at her top speed without particular direction. Despite the thick snow slowing us down, we made it far until we heard a loud howl. It was so loud that it made me and Alice tremble. Alice and I reached a wide river that was partially covered with eyes. We could not go to the other side without crossing that river. Alice looked
