Chapter 4: A Secret Revealed

"Oh, for that matter, you don't need to worry, even though my husband's whereabouts are unknown right now, but he has a legal heir to lead and replace his position in times of urgency like this," Mrs. Sandra said confidently.

"Wow, really? You mean a child? I just found out that Madame has a child. When did you conceive? Hahaa..." asked the man named Calvin with a mocking laugh.

Meanwhile, Mr. Billy and Benny looked at each other and frowned together, because, as far as they knew, Sandra had never had a child, even though she was adopted. Indra also looked a little upset; she didn't know this at all.

"Of course, Mr. Calvin."

"Oh yes, Billy, do you remember? Twenty years ago, I took a two-year break in New Zealand. Maybe Benny also remembers Mr. Weber, Mr. Andi, Mr. Abraham, and the others I certainly don't think have forgotten the moment when I went to New Zealand for that long."

Everyone looked thoughtful, then nodded.

"Well, actually, at that time, I was pregnant and gave birth to a son there," explained Mrs. Sandra, speaking while looking at Calvin for reassurance. Then she looked at the members present to recall an important moment in her life and during their time together.

Suddenly all those present were so dumbfounded listening to Mrs. Sandra's explanation and questions, which were true if you remember again. Mrs. Sandra had been on vacation for so long that they thought that Fajar and Sandra's household had ended, but they covered it up. But after 2 years, Mrs. Sandra returned to her company and home with a fresher appearance at that time, so the rumors that the conglomerate couple's household was destroyed were just hoaxes.

"Yes, ma'am, I remember you were gone for that long," replied Mr. Abraham, followed by nods from some of the people present and remembering that moment.

"So, where is your child now, ma'am?" I asked Mr. Andi.

"Of course he is; he'll be in soon if you've thought it through and accepted him as your leader," Mrs. Sandra replied calmly.

"Then, why did you hide the child? If it's really your son, where has he been all this time?" He asked Benny, still with a look of disbelief at his brother's words.

"Why did you have to hide him all this time? What's the point of playing silly hide-and-seek like this?" Billy said, looking unaccepting.

Calvin also began to be a little silent and watched the 3 brothers talk. It seemed that their conversation was very serious, and Calvin hoped it was just an excuse or a way for them to buy time for this meeting to be canceled.

"Come on, don't play games in front of us, you three brothers; let's not buy any more time."

"Tell you what, Madam Deputy Leader, if it's true that you have a son, please provide the DNA test results, place of birth date, and finally present the child here right now!" Calvin challenged, looking fed up with the conversation of the three brothers, which he considered to be an act.

Mrs. Sandra looked sarcastically at Calvin; she felt that the youngest member was so arrogant. "Mr. Calvin, before I start, I want to warn you because you look so arrogant. I am the deputy leader here, and I own a very large share here. Compared to your shares, it is nothing, and you are nothing in my eyes."

"And keep in mind that our ages are also much different, but you have been so disrespectful to me from the first time I entered this room. I asked you something: do you have a problem with me? Should I cut off the cooperation between you and my company?" Asked Mrs. Sandra while looking sharply at the young man named Calvin.

Usually Mrs. Sandra always looks elegant, but at the moment she is not in a good mood, so she wants to feel like she babads the people who are so arrogant, including her two younger siblings.

Calvin suddenly trembled; his arrogant attitude that had appeared earlier was now gone; his face looked red because he felt humiliated in front of many people; he looked at Mr. Indra and the other members who had supported him, but they didn't want to look at him at all, as if they were indifferent and didn't care about him.

'Damn! It turns out I'm being used by these old farts.' Calvin grumbled to himself.

"Why are you silent, Mr. Calvin?" Mrs. Sandra urged, and now she seemed to be mocking a little.

"Sorry, madam, for the impudence of my attitude and words. Please continue this meeting, and I will listen to it." Calvin replied so pressed, like it or not, he had to apologize; if not, Mrs. Sandra could have kicked him. People like Mrs. Sandra would not be afraid of losing their shares, which were only a few percent, not to mention that it was so difficult to get a position until now. If she was kicked out of the Rashaad Group, her parents would definitely be furious and give the leadership to her younger brother, Carlie, who was still in college.

"Well, it's a waste of time if I argue with you, but if you're not comfortable, you can just leave or you can take all your shares from this company," Mrs. Sandra retorted.

Everyone was silent. Sandra had never been this angry before. Sandra was a rich lady who was polite and never cared about trivial matters like that. She dislikes arguing the most, she is the most patient, and she is the most afraid of losing a partner, even though the partner only has 1% of the shares. But this time, even though Calvin has the most shares, 5%, Sandra dared to kick him because she was annoyed.

"No, ma'am, please forgive my impudence earlier," Calvin replied again while grumbling in his heart, 'Damn! Where are all the proud parents who said they would support me? Even when I'm pressed to be insulted like this, none of them have defended me.'

"Can we continue, ma'am? Calm down, ma'am. Clear your mind first," said Mr. Weber, and Mr. Abraham also spoke, "Calm down, calm down, son...," calming down Sandra, who, despite her age, was far below them, but they respected her very much.

"Thank you, Mr. Weber, Mr. Abraham. I apologize for getting involved in the situation earlier. Well,  then I will first answer the question from Mr. Billy: Why did I hide my son all this time? Well,  as you know, to deal with this kind of thing, power struggles, and betrayal between members."

"I just want to test who is loyal to my company and who is the enemy in the blanket here. Why am I talking like this? Because, to be honest, the leadership is now critical because someone wanted to kill him yesterday," revealed Mrs. Sandra.

All members were so shocked when they heard Mrs. Sandra's explanation that they thought Calvin's words were true.

Moreover, Calvin suddenly became so nervous and hot and cold; how could he not be nervous? Because at the beginning, he had asked if the leader was critical, even though Mrs. Sandra had not leaked this incident to them. With his words earlier, Mrs. Sandra and the others would automatically suspect him of intending to persecute him.

'Damn! It's appropriate that Madame Sandra wanted to kick me earlier; could it be that she suspects me?’
