Chapter 21 You are my daughter

We headed to the South after leaving the North by air, I grew silent on the way back home. The driver picked us up in the airport and stopped outside our pack, I got out of the car and walked alongside my father. My mind buzzed with the weight of my heavy thoughts. He loved long walks, even if they were just around the park for two reasons: to see the community, and to smell freshly cut grass.

The encounter with Alpha Atlas had been a headache but ultimately prompted me to finally confront my father about the truth I had kept secret for so long. I needed to get it off of my chest. I took a deep breath, bracing myself for the conversation about to unfold. I knew my dad and Alpha Atlas wouldn't cooperate, so I finally mustered the courage to reveal my secret to my father. It was definitely now or never.

"Dad," I began, my voice trembling slightly. I played with my fingers as I struggled to speak. "There's something I need to tell you."
