Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

XD got into the car as his driver was already seated in the front seat ready to drive off.

“Where to?” Xander asked as he adjusted the rear mirror.

“I don’t feel like going home at the moment, it is uninteresting, so just take me to a nearby expensive bar, I want to get drunk and wasted so I would have a hangover the next morning.” XD said with a chuckle as Xander laughed and said,

“It seems like you don’t have a busy schedule tomorrow, no probs. Don’t curse me when you regret it, you know how cranky you get when you have a headache.”

“Oh shut up and drive.” He said as Xander drove off. They were still discussing about irrelevant stuffs on the roas just as the rain started falling heavily.

“This certainly calls for a woman’s touch tonight, don’t you think so?” Xander said as he switched on the wipers so that he could be seeing where he is going.

“You have been a bigger womanizer than me, ever since high school. Where is Sophie?” He added as Xander shrugged and said,

“Sophie is old news, my newest catch is Dolly. Sweet as pie. Funny she broke off her relationship with a man named Feathers. Said he wasn’t giving her the satisfaction she wanted.”

“I pray you don’t get STI’s.” XD mumbled much more to himself but Xander clearly heard it and said,

“What do you mean by STI’s.What makes you think that the new catch got it? You know what, forget about that, we need to figure you out and get you a babe that you can be drilling. I have suspicions that you are gay.” Xander said wiggling his eyes.

“If I was gay….wouldn’t I have hit on you? Besides you remember Diana, I dated her.” XD pointed out but Xander rolled his eyes and said,

“That was so middle school. You haven’t been with any other girl since then, unless you are still nursing a broken heart.”

“I am XD….I don’t do love. I have never and will never fall for any person.That is a promise.” XD said crossing his arms across his chest as Xander said,

“You would be surprised, you will meet the love of your life sooner than you would even expect. And when that time comes you owe me a house and five cars.”

“Deal.” XD said as Xander turned to grin at him.

“Watch out!” XD yelled as he pointed in front of him but it was too late as a thud was heard and the car skidded to a stop.

“Fuck….was that a cat?” Xander asked as he put off his seat belt and got out of the car.

“That was too big to be a cat.” XD replied as he got out into the pouring rain and walked in front where he saw a man unconscious with a phone in his hand.

Flynn was walking on the rainy road to nowhere in particular. The rain was getting heavier each coming minute and he was shivering but the pain that was going through his heart was much bigger than what he could imagine. He was going to end his life. He had been walking in the center of the road but it was empty.

No single car had passed at all, it was as if the fates were mocking him too.

His phone was ringing incessantly and he saw that it was his ex calling him. He picked the call and said,

“I told you never to call me again.” He yelled as his ex tried to talk some sense into him.

“Listen to me, Flynn. I am so sorry that you had to find out about Chase and I that way but you have to understand that it wasn’t my fault at all.”

“Will you stop talking about that, I don’t give a shit about you two. Why didn’t you tell me about my mum?” He said

“You never picked up. She reached out to me and I told her, that I hadn’t been able to contact you either.” Jeremy said trying to shift the blame from him.

“Why didn’t you help treat her then?”

“I was in debts, I didn’t have money.” He said as Flynn clenched his fist in anger and said,

“Will you stop lying to me? Just leave me alone, I don’t want to hear from you again.”

“Flynn, please where are you? Tell me and I will come pick you up….I still love you.”

“Go screw yourself, asshole.” He said as he ended the call and screamed out loud.

He wanted to give up and go and jump from the bridge, just as he was crossing the road, he was blinded by a bright light that was heading his way. He didn’t have time to see what it was as he shielded his face from the light but he knew his whole world stopped when whatever was coming collided with him and he fell to the ground looking up at the dark cloud. He could hear muffled door close and before he could look at the person who had killed him, he felt his vision go blurry and just like that he was unconscious, out as a wick.
