Leah cried out, "You lied to me! You're shameless, Herbert!"

"How did I lie to you?" Herbert Lale frowned. "I merely said you should live out here for a little longer. It's not like I refused to marry you and bring you back to my family! Plus, you know how my strict wife has been keeping a close eye on me these days—"

"I won't hear it!" Leah shoved him away and continued shouting, "You said you'd only make me wait three months when you forced yourself on me! Three months passed, but you asked me to wait another year!

"It's been almost two years now! And you're asking me to wait again… You're clearly lying to me, Herbert!"

She sobbed in great misery.

Yet, Herbert showed no sympathy. He barked, "I told you to be patient and wait, so do it! What's with all this nonsense?"

"You scumbag! Liar! I won't trust you anymore!" Leah opened the door and was about to run outside. "I'm going to report you to the police—ouch!"

A loud thud rang out. It sounded like Leah was hit.
