"What's got you so nervous?" I reached behind Leah with a smirk. Then, I opened the cupboard beneath the sink and pointed at it. "There. That's the faulty pipe."

"Oh." Leah pushed me away before hissing, "It's fine for me to check your pipes, but don't stand so close! It's too warm here!"

I chuckled and took a few steps back after seeing how vibrantly pink her cheeks were.

Leah squatted to take a closer look. She realized the pipe was indeed faulty. So, she stood and muttered, "Ugh, the management for this apartment is such a scam! I'll get someone to fix it for you tomorrow!"

"Great!" I merrily accepted before standing at the kitchen door, preventing Leah from leaving.

Leah glared at me. "What are you up to now? Let me out this instant! How will I contact the management office to get someone to fix your pipe?"

"You can leave, but you'll have to kiss me first!"

"What?" Leah froze in surprise and slight frustration. "What do you take me for, Seth? I have a husband!"
