I stare at Kiera, who is lying peacefully on the ground with her hands still tired from each other, her head resting on a crumbled blanket, looking tired and vulnerable. Her eyes were closed, and her chest rose and fell with each breath, the rise and fall almost imperceptible. Because of me, I couldn't shake the guilt that washed over me as I realized the extent of the damage I had caused. It was clear that my actions had taken a toll on her, and I knew I needed to make things right.

I leaned my head against the wall and sighed at my mistake. How can I let my anger get over me like this? How can I hurt Kiera, my cousin, and my little sister?

Maybe I am like my father, a cruel bastard who can't control his temper. I pushed my head hard against the wall as I watched Kiera struggle to find comfort in her position like this.

I walked to her side, untied her hand, and brushed her hair away from her face as I grabbed a blanket covering her body.

Kevin The memories of that day still haunt me; the sound of sirens, the smell of blood, and the fear of being attacked still linger in my mind. Even after 10 years, I still can't shake the feeling of dread that washes over me whenever I think about it. And the breath that Kiera gave me still stings, the pain of her actions cutting deep into my heart. It's a wound that may never fully heal, a scar that serves as a reminder of the betrayal I experienced. If only she spoke the truth that day, perhaps the pain wouldn't be as deep. 10 years of my life were lost to lies and deceit, a decade tainted by the memories of that betrayal. Inside the bars with goons and criminals, I lived a life of constant fear and mistrust, always looking over my shoulder for the next betrayal. The weight of that burden still lingers as a heavy shadow that follows me wherever I go. And with time, I became one of them, I guess. The scars on my body have healed, but the emotional wounds remain fresh. I closed my

I could see the conflict in his eyes as he struggled to process my words, unsure of how to respond. "Are you out of your mind because I locked you here ?" Kevin's voice wavered, a hint of fear creeping into his tone.I sighed and shook my head. "Hear me out before you make any judgments. I don't want you to kill me.""Then what do you mean you're completely out of your mind?" Kevin asked, confusion evident in his expression."I don't know," I shouted, feeling frustration bubbling up inside me. "What do I do when everyone I love in my life is angry at me?" I said, tears welling up in my eyes. "Without even my knowledge, I became the reason for everyone's misery.""Kiera..." Kiera"Maybe I know what he wants from all of this," I whispered, finally finding the courage to voice my own suspicions.Kevin raised an eyebrow in curiosity, prompting me to continue with my theory about Gabriel's true intentions. "And what is that ?" he asked, leaning in closer to hear my thoughts. I took a deep breath before responding, "I read my grandfather's diary, and there on the very last entry he mentioned how dad turned into a monster and wanted to kill everyone in the family to take control of the family business."Kevin listened intently, his expression growing more serious. "I don't think he did it for money or power," he added. "Think about it, Kiera. Your father was the only heir to the business, so why would he want to kill everyone?"I sighed slowly at the floor, contemplating Kevin's words. "Maybe there's more to the story than we know," I finally said, feeling a sense of unease settle in. "I don't know what the truth is or not, but he always treated me with great

The only thing keeping me going was the hope that she was still out there somewhere, waiting to be found. But where could they go on this small, private island with limited access to the mainland?A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts as two guys in uniform stood on my doorstep, holding a piece of paper. Jason "What happened to her? Is she fine?" I asked the doctor, with my hand not holding it, leaving Kiera's fragile hand. The doctor nodded his head and replied, "She has high blood pressure and fainted due to stress. But with proper medication and rest, she should be back to normal soon." "Anything that I need to take care of while she's recovering?" I inquired, feeling relieved that it wasn't anything more serious. The doctor reassured me, "Just make sure she gets plenty of rest, avoids stressful situations, and takes her medication as prescribed. I have taken some of her blood samples for further testing, but I will keep you updated on her progress." With a sense of relief, I thanked the doctor for his care and attention to Kiera's health. JASONWe drove home together, and the tension between us was palpable as we both anticipated what would happen next.“Do you think she will be angry?” Kiera asked, taking my hand in hers as we walked to the front door of the villa. I squeezed her hand reassuringly and said, “She’ll be fine. But about her anger, I can’t make any promises.” Kiera laughed, shaking her head.“I never wanted to leave without meeting her, but she was asleep, and I don’t want to wake her up,” she said as we walked towards the foyer to the living room.“She misses you so much,” I replied softly, touching her face gently. “I’m sure she’ll understand once she sees you.” Kiera smiled gratefully, leaning her head on my touch.“Daddy...” Aria’s voice chimes in from the living room, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Kiera. “Mommy?” she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes.Kiera knelt down, opening her arms wide as Aria ran into them.
