It so suffocating,it feels like bad omen

  "Hey Jace are you going to sit there forever,let go we're going to be late for the meeting with the family - team" a dark skin guy with huge broad shoulders stood in the doorway and called out.

"Yeah, just a second ,Jims" he replied and grabbed his backpack, winking at Lily Winter before trotting to where his friend stood, on getting to him ,he grabbed him by the shoulder and they both left.

"What with him,so annoying.Arggh

.. I hate the idea of being paired with him" she grumbled angrily.

"Are you okay Lily "Tom asked looking worried seeing her talking to herself alone.

"Sure am good, it nice meeting you Tom. Uhmm...I have to go now, talk to you later" ,she said and stood up

"Yeah me too, if you still find any problem with math and physics.Call me right away,I will be there to tutor you" he smiled warmly.

"Wow, thank you so much Tom. Sorry,I have to be on my way now" she returned the smile

"No problem and do have a nice day",they both bidded each other.

*********The next day in school***

Exactly 10:25am,the coach walked into the basketball court in distress.

"What sup with the long face , Coach Yu" asked Ian Grayson, the team leader.

"Tom Graystone, said he isn't feeling to well to come for the match and it starting in five minutes"the coach answered in dismayed.

"Is he insane or something,he better get his fucking ass here or I have him dealt with" Ian Grayson cursed loudly in anger.

"That not important right now, the important thing is we get someone to play in his place. He is already hospitalized and there is nothing ,we can do about it" the coach replied sadly.

"Hey ,Ian ,what going on, we are waiting for you and that Tom guy ,where is he? " Jim shouted as he walked up to them.

 

The students and spectectors were already taking their seats, cheering loudly at their favorite team.

"That asshole Tom guy isn't coming to play, the idiot got hospitalized this morning" Ian replied in fury.

"So what are we gonna do now, those kids from 11th grade junior year black panther basketball team can't wait to  beat our ass up and embrass us" he said amidst gritted teeth

" I can't stand their show-off in the last match,those poopheads were calling us junior team, toddler team. We aren't any of that dude and after so much practice, this Tom guy decided to ruin it,What are we going to do now, Ian" he asked looking distressed with sweat forming beads on his forehead.

" I don't know"Ian replied looking confused at the same time, boiling with anger

"Do you two know anyone that can play in his place" the coach asked again.

"Of course we do" the said in unison looking downcasted.

"You know someone that a great news,who is he" the coach asked with glint of hope

"Sure the idiot that sat down over there"Ian said sadly

"The lazy brat that had his leg crossed looking like a French painting"Jim added  pointing to him.

"That true ,Wow my poor memory this because of old age you know cause how can I forget a basketball shining star's glorious presence in our midst ,Jace Gilbert is a rare gem and basketball prodigy before age sixteen, he already won three gold medals from FIBA basketball game , when he played for England, he is indeed an extraordinary talented player the reason he hadn't played in NBA games is still unknown' he praised in awe.

"I must have worried for nothing then, please do everything possible to get Jace Gilbert into the court,am counting on you guys "he said and patted their shoulders.

"What are we going to do now", Jims asked with a raised eyebrows

"What else try our luck first with the idiot sitting over there", Ian replied and started walking over to him , while Jim trotted behind him .

"Hey Jace we need your help,Tom is sick we need you to play in his place" Ian quickly explained.

"Sorry you got the wrong person, I wish to help you but my hands are tight. I am tired and not in the mood to play today" he replied languidly.

"Man you got to help us,think of it this way, you can even build more reputation with just playing today,this is a big basketball events in High tower high school, cause  two sworn enemies teams are going to play today so everyone in school is present here with eagerness and anticipation to see who wins",he took a deep breath and continue . 

"This is your chance to show off your great skills and talent as well your strength as a real man ,if you just sit down here doing nothing you will be seen as a softy, a frail whimp who got a pretty look,they will consider you girlish. You don't want that bro cause we're real men so let show them" Jim explained in details praying it will work on him, while Ian just stood looking like he gave up already.

"Do I look like I care about what they say"Jace replied nonchalantly.

"This bitch , I wish I had a gun right now " Jim cursed loudly.

They turned and was about to leave, when he suddenly called after them

"Didn't you say everyone will be present, are you sure about that?"he asked curiously.

"Of course why?, you change your mind" Jim asked with a hint of  hope in his tone.

"I can't let her think of me as whimp or girly, she already called me girly face once. I won't allow her think of me as a softy , I have to show her my strength and talent as a real man by that time ,she would fall totally for me" he smiled confidently.

" Have you gone nut ,you smiling all alone" Jim stared at him

" I'm in ,am going to play" he said and stood up angrily

" That my man, I didn't expect you to change your mind so quick" ,Ian commented proudly patting the back of his head

" What influence this postive change" Jim asked curiously, hitting his shoulder playfully.

"Let say I have to show someone my talent, strength and agility as a real man  today" he said smiling.

" I am sure it is a girl, right! .First time seeing you in love, Jace. You look crazy man! " Jim teased , while Ian smirked.

"Shut the fuck up idiot ! " Jace smiled cheeky

"Look at you, you're even blushing. You are whipped man"Jim continued to tease him as they jugged to where the rest of team are.

*****At the school dining hall****

The cafeteria was a huge one and sparkling clean inside out with well standard services and classy environment, It features an " In house meat shop" with local" grass fed beef" and many of dining hall's fresh fruits were gotten the school organic garden.

 

The chefs show sensitivity to a special diet by placing allegen label next to all food items and providing both vegan and glutten free options at every meal.

There is a long queue of students infront of the food serving counters where mouthwatering dish and snacks are placed on their trays as they move.These foods are tasty dish anyone would salivate for but the students still give bad comment about the food saying it sucks! ,Guess that what  school kids are like.

The  Classy Elite dining hall boast of wealthy and how prestigious the private highschool is,with it's perfection and excellent standard in every aspect of the school, that why it rated first and the best in USA as a whole.

The students sat down in pairs and clique as they ate and  chatted happily.

Jace and his friends move to their high-table at the corner of the hall ,where the students believe that the seats belong to the high-monarch and highest class in school like Ian Grayson and his friends are the only ones could only sit there.

  " Hey Jace what with the sullen look. We just won the match so cheer up man ! ,Just  forget whatever that is bothering you" a brownette guy said,his bimbo pecked him and he returned it with deep kisses.

"You irritate me, will you two get a room" he yelled in disgust.

"Are you jealous or something" he said in the  middle of his kissing section.

"Jealous my foot,you guys make me  wanna puke, how disgusting" he replied sharply

"Tyle is right, don't ruin the good mood with your suckling" Ian said sternly and gulped down his energy drink.

"I am out of here , someone here is sexually fustrated this beautiful sight of my make out session is killing him. I can feel his pain, I will be considerate to leave" he finished saying and grabbed his babe by the waist as they made for the doors .

"Asshole!"he cursed after him.There was long silence before Jim decided to break it.

"What with the foul mood, You're the star of today ,who the girls are now going nut about, Isn't that what you want too . You should be happy and proud of yourself dude, you show off the real man's strength,every girl in school wants to get laid by you. You help the team to beat those dumbass team and put them in their place, you should even be proud of yourself now" Jims grinned wider,that earned him a deadly glare from Jace

 "Cut the crap, didn't you say everyone will be present" he snapped in anger.

"Yeah everyone was  present" he replied sharply.

"Of course, then why is she not present"he fired angrily.

"Who? ,Every girl is charmed by athletes so they always come to the competition to cheer their crush, except for that weird Lily Winter",he explained.

"Who sucks with both look and dressing and who is busy studying and doesn't care about romance ,on sport days like this, she would probably be in the library. The girl is wierd and sucks,she is really an old hag" he said with so much disgust in his tone.

"Shut the fuck up, You're the old hag here, you don't even deserve to call her name, don't you dare talk to her rudely"Jace roared in anger.

" Huh !" both Ian and Jim said in shock

"Wow! ,Jace so the rumor is actually true that you're attracted to Lily Winter ,is it because she is a virgin who hasn't received her first kiss yet that why you're hitting at her. Wow You're a desperate hot blood, even more desperate than Ian",he teased and smirked.

"What do you mean by more desperate than Ian" he asked impatiently.

"Oh!,you don't know about it, Ian displayed a fake attention towards her and set a drug rape trap for her during the Last prom ,which did fail cause her mom called earlier before the drug could take effect and she had to rush home"Jim narrated.

"Did you truly pulled a stunt like that"Jace asked looking fierce.

"Uh-yeah, cause she was pure and kind of fresh and I wanted to enjoy that not that I was planning to fu*k her with my eyes open, the girl is disgusting and an eyesore" he replied non-challently.

Jace eyes breath anger with his words "No wonder ,she thinks I was going to take advantage of her,now I get where her mindset is coming from".

Jace suddenly stood up and matched in anger towards grabbed Ian's collar and cursed loudly

" You son of a bitch" he rammed a powerful blow to his cheek, which made his mouth to bled instantly he fell with thud on the floor.

 The cafeteria's peace fell into chaos as people wondered what going on between the two buddies and the fight is also worthy watching cause this is the first time Ian will getting his ass beaten up, he is the biggest bully of the time, whom everyone is scared of.

He rolled on Ian in anger and continued to give him doses of blows, cursing loudly in anger.

"Jace get a grip of yourself" Jim manage to pull him off

" This is a warning Ian, you better stay clear off from her. You two better not disrespect her again" he shrieked in anger and stomped out of the  hall .

" That idiot is whipped over Lily Winter.You better stay off his girl,if you don't want your ass beating again"Jim jeered after  giving him a hand to stand up, while Ian had a dark smirk on his lip as they both returned to their seats.

The students quickly disappeared to their various seats and imimmediately an hot gist started  amidst the students,the internet was set on fire with different post and comments

"The school hunk was given the beaten of  his life , because he messed with the wrong person's girl",an Annoynmus post , before you could say jack millions of comments and retweet took place.

"#Hash tag clash between the two charming princes of High Tower high School over Lily Winter was an epic one", another posted with a video , different hates and like comments kept streaming under the post.

"Wow , I want a prince charming like that" a girl commented dreamly

" Lily Winter ,you are an ugly winch how dare you cause rift between two buddies" another girl commented harshly.

"Are you Jealous, girls who can't stand other people success are  nasty winches" another one replied.

"You're the stupid fellow, who is blinded by a jinx like her. The winch is a jinx and caused bad luck everywhere she goes, look at how she tried to ruin the peace between those buddies with her luck. I hate her" the girl replied in anger.

"You are only a drama queen, if that girl was able to get a hot prince, I bet you're only being salty because you don't have that kind of good luck, Bunny" another fired back.

Endless hate and like, different supports and dislike were streaming on the internet .

Die-hard haters like Jessica Bane, Jade Winter , Gabriella and their clique couldn't stand it.

"Gaby ,why would Jace like someone like Lily ,is he under a spell or what. Boys can be blind sometime"Lorita commented with disgust, which made Gaberalia blood to boil more, she threw her Iphone at the wall in anger, 

"Don't worry Gaby,we sure get back at her for you and your prince charming will be surely yours",they assured her.

     

      He walked briskly into the large hall filled with thousands of books, where the scents of good old and new books will clear your mind and set it focus for excellence.

"This Palace of knowledge must have cost a fortune since it well equipped with wide varieties of great books all across the world and it's modernized", he thought to himself and made a quick search of any traces of an over-over size red hood girl as he paced  through the huge book shelves.

  Just at the corner of the hall, he spotted a red hood crouched down, sitted on the floor.

"Here you're cutie",he said smiling to himself.

He tiptoed behind her and softly hit her shoulder before suddenly appearing at her front and shouted "Hey" , which startled and made her choke on something. 

"Hahaha" he laughed out,on seeing her priceless shocked expresssion

"Ahem!,ahem!!" ,She coughed in tears , clutching to her chest tightly that moment the cookies she was holding dropped on the floor

"Hey you okay ?,I am so sorry. I didn't mean to make you choke, Sorry Lily" he said with an apologetic look and was about to rub her back to ease her digestion .

"Stay away from me" , she pushed his hand away.

"I don't think I can ever do that, Babe" ,he muttered silently

"Huh!, what did you just say"she snapped.

"It nothing",he replied sharply. 

"Why are you eating in that position, don't you know you can easily suffer from indigestion and why are you even having your lunch here,all you care about is book, you should atleast care about your health too" he said angrily.

"What is it to you" she shrieked 

"I care alot , cause you are my........my..........,yes my my English essay project partner" he struggled for what to say, which made Lily to stare at him as if he had grown heads.

" I meant that if you don't take your health serious , you might fall sick and I will have to do that project alone, of course I don't want that cause I'm too lazy for any stress" he tried to sound more sensible.

"Don't worry, I won't be bothering you at all, cause you won't have to do your own share of the project,I will be doing everything all by myself, so be rest assured" she explained and rolled her eyes.

" What do you mean by that"he snapped in anger.

"Why are you angry ,am only being considerate here" she replied in shock.

"Considerate my foot!, You're only being cold hearted trying to push me away, you didn't even come to support me during basketball match today and I consider you as my only female friend" ,he sulked sadly

 "I am going to report you to Mr Tottenham if you don't allow me to participate in the project",he finished saying sternly.

Lily chuckled at his outbust.

" what funny?" he asked surprised at her reaction.

"You look like a sulking little girl, I didn't except you to be able to play basketball ,cause you look too frail to even be an athlete"she stated.

"Huh! , What do you mean by little girl,do I look girly to you" he retorted.

"Of course, don't you know you look too pretty for a guy. You look like a pretty gay , seriously that is Halirious" she chuckled loudly and noticed someone was glaring at the back of her head.

" I should get that book,what  the author's name again" she mummured and quickly excuse herself to one of the bookshelves.

Jace followed her angrily and stood behind her ,caging her with his hands to the shelf.

"Fine ,Jace am sorry I said that to you"she turned to face him and said in guilt with a puppy eyes.

" Why is she damn cute, her lips are so red and beautiful. I wish I can........"he snapped out of his own thoughts and blushed like a fool.

" Should I rammed my lips into those lips of yours to show you my manly strength" he said quietly in a deep voice.

" You are crazy, let go of me" she shrieked in fright mixed with anger.

"What are you two  doing" ,a female Liberian said in surprise as she appeared suddenly from a corner near the book shelf.

"Aha.... nothing, please don't misunderstood anything,Mrs Smith" she pushed him away and smiled awkwardly.

" Isn't it obvious am having a nice time with my girlfriend or is there a problem with that" he could see Lily's face flushed in embarrassment as well as anger.

" I love moment like this,she so damn cute when she blush ,this girl is driving me crazy.... I ..am",he was still lost in his thoughts, when he recieved a hot powerful kick on his right leg.

" Ma'am Smith please don't mind his nonsense,he is only bluffing . We will get going now" she said and pulled his ear, dragging him out of the Library.

"Ouch! ,ouch !,it hurt" he cried in pain as he was dragged out, 

Getting outside, she pushed him away in anger and began to walk away, he trotted behind her and called after her,

"You are a meanie Lily, my ears hurt badly. Why do you always treat me like a push over"he cried in pain and rubbed his left sore-red ear.

She didn't budge and  continued to pace through the quiet path, they both got to school park, Lily brought out her phone and was about to text someone, when endless notification were popping out on her android.

"Why is the universe tagging me today ,did they mistake me for Jade now and what with this comments.3.5milllion notifications ,huh ! . Are they planning to bomb my phone" she said in alarm as she struggled to open one of the notifications with endless messages still streaming in.

"What the hell is all these" after she had read a message and could not read meaning to it ,she clicked another.

"Lily you're a badass queen,where did you hook up with such a prince charming,am damn jealous,Gul"she read out another text from  an old friend from her former school.

"Charlie is always full of nonsense,I thought she would have grown up over the years but I was clearly wrong",she muttered to herself and clicked another one.

It was an aggressive one this time 

"You act as the weakest naive saint in school but you're only a hole ,Damn you bitch ", Angelica Whales.

She was white pale in shock,"when did I become familiar with people like her",she muttered to herself and clicked another

"Screw you witch,I hate you Lily Winter" another message said.

" You must think  of yourself as a Cinderella now,how disgusting" another unknown messager. She was so confused and at the same time scare.

She was about to turn her phone off when a message popped up from an unexpected shocking messenger,

"Alexis Grates"she said aloud.

  The meaniest bully ,whom was a hell and terror to Lily during her middle school days at Golden Stone Junoir High school.

" An ugly duck left our school only to become a pearl at High Tower high school not only that but attract the prince of wealth of the business world,this interesting. You're unbelievable Lily Winter, I hope you won't hold grudges against me for what happened in the past, seriously those were my stupid mistakes and am sorry.Wanna catch up with you and make amends for my old ways ,where should we meet up gulfriend" she read it again and again in shock.

"What going on,do you think my contact lenses already expired, Alexis Grates, apologizing Huh!. This is more than a breaking news !" she screamed in alarm.

Which made Jace to look at her worriedly " Are you okay"he asked in haste but was totally ignored as she continued to stare at her phone.

She quickly went to her notifications and clicked a  video. She was surprised to see Jace and Ian in a fierce battle,with Jace beating him to pulp , right under the video is the title" a Gorgeous prince couldn't stand any disrespect to his lover  Lily Winter Isn't he so charming " with millions of retweet.

"What the fuck is this " she yelled out in fury, making Jace trembled in fear.She continued to read through the comments section with eyes filled with coals of anger.

" I hate the girl, she must think of herself as the modern day Cinderella.She is  a cursed jinx, cursed with a yuck face, I only pity the mother who went through hell to give birth to something as ugly as her" a girl commented. Tears threatened to pour as she continues to read the endless cyberbullying comments 

"She reminds me of my granny old's mop, she is nothing but trash. I don't get it, why will he like someone like her. Guys are kind of crazy sometime" another girl commented harshly.

Her arms started to trembling as she stood pale ,"Are you Okay ",Jace asked in shock.

"Let go of my hand,you bastard" she shrieked in anger which made the blonde guy stunned 

"What all these " she showed  him her phone's screen in anger.

He took the phone from her and flipped through the comments section. He was astonished at what he saw ,he clenched his fist in anger.

"What do you have to say ,Jace Gilbert!"she asked in boiling rage.

"Please believe me Lily,I have nothing to do with this... I" he tried to explain but was cut ofg.

"Stop ! ,Just stop Jace . I need you to leave me alone, it wasn't peaceful enough and now you're trying to choke me" she said mentally stressed out.

Jace tried to move near her but she traced her footsteps backwards quickly,

" Are you done making fun of me,was it fun Jace Gilbert ?" she shrieked.

" I shouldn't have met you in the first place,it so suffocating it feels like bad omen and I hate you so much. leave me alone" She yelled out in fustration and was about to leave, 

When he suddenly grabbed her hand, looking pale with sadness

"If  you won't allow me to explain,let me at least drop you at home, its about to rain" he said quietly

" Let go of me. Don't you get it. I prefer to be drenched in rain than be offered help or have thing to do with you, cause with you it feels like hell" she said loudly and walked away.

 Jace watched her retracting figure with expression of sadness and fury," How dare you always treat me like a pushover, Lily Winter"he thundered in anger and rammed his fist to the wall, making his knuckles busted and bruised. Gabriella watched them from afar with  so much detest and sour expression.

***********Getting Home Soaked **

Lily POV.

I got home pretty late and went straight to my room, turning the shower on to let my body to resoak with warm water. 

After I had change into my pyjamas,I slipped under my blanket with  both my body and head aching.I laid silently waiting for the day's page to be flipped over.

The peace and calmness drifting me slowly to sleep, before someone barged into my room and yelled furiously.

 

"Lily how dare you sleep here, while I am busy with cooking for you. Do I look like your housemaid now !, aren't you supposed to help me in preparing dinner for the family"she scolded loudly

"Mom please am so tired and feeling sicky, I can't join you in preparing dinner today" Lily explained.

" Of course that what you good at , making up excuses. You are not good with brain nor looks ,you don't even know anything about fashion, look at your younger sister she is better than you in everything, you're the eldest but you  lack  so much",she yelled with loud shrill in her voice. 

"You should ask yourself what the purpose of  existence, when your life is full of flaws and excuses" Her mother finished saying and slammed the door behind in anger.

" She Is right, maybe my existene is wrong in the first place"she cried  harder until her vision became blurred and fell unconscious.
