Damien leans against the doorframe of his room and watches her sleep.

He doesn't know what to make of this. He knows that bringing her here was a mistake, but it's the only place where he was sure that she would be safe. His main priority was not only getting her away from her father and Felix Baldwyn, but also from Devon Tyler. He couldn't fathom the thought of her with him, and subconsciously he knows that something happened between them, but she won't admit it.

Frankly, it's better this way. He wouldn't be able to handle the truth, and he gave up on trying to find out. He has his men after that fucker, but he's good at hiding. He can't hide forever, though. There are only so many places he can be. He'll fuck up, and when he does, he'll regret ever being born.
