When Emily got bored staying at home, she texted her friend, Alison for them to meet at a popular club in New York city.

In a span of minutes, she got dressed quickly, she took her car keys and off the went.

  Emily was seen in one of the best club In town, her face was a little red, and her eyes were swollen indicating that she was drunk and she burped almost very time.

"Emily, are you sure you want to have your fourth bottle? Nicole, her friend asked worriedly, truly she cared for her best friend.

"Of course, I have high alcohol tolerance" Emily explained as she gulped down the bottle in one go.

"Are you really okay?" Nicole asked, looking at her friend, "you look messed up"

Emily sighed, was it that obvious?, yes she was messed up, she was ready messed up, she needed someone to vent up all her worries.

"I am just worried" Emily spatted out.

"Worried? why will you be worried?" Nicole asked, her heart ached for her best friend. She also was from no ordinary family, she was also the niece of a CEO and a princess for that matter.

"You see, what if my dad falls in love? I don't want any woman In his life, I just want it to be the two of us, I don't want any damn step mom" Emily confessed, her eyes turning a little darker because she felt like no woman In the whole world could ever replace her mother's position"

"Oh, okay, don't think about it much" Nicole consoled her.

"And I don't like that Veronica at all, not even one bit" Emily nodded her head, implying how much she hated her.

"Who is Veronica?" Nicole asked.

"Just this woman, she is always sticking to my dad and I hate it much, she thinks she can win my dad's heart that easily" Elena gnashed her teeth in disgust.

"Well, all you have to do is make sure your dad doesn't fall in love with her" Nicole sipped the alcohol gently.

"You are right, Thanks, Nicole, you are like the best friend ever" Emily thank her best friend, sipping the alcohol in one go.

"Are you sure you can go to school, in this condition?" Nice asked because her best friend now was a mess, her face and eyes were so red, if any paparazzi could come in now they would have loved to take photos of Mr. Hale's daughter, Emily. though she was just fifteen she was well known all over the internet for her life hack videos, her acting skills, her singing skills and let's not forget being the daughter of Mr. Hale, the CEO of N&H cooperations.

"No, I will just pass it off or I might change my mind, who knows, I can't let my dad start questioning me why I didn't go to school" Emily burped out loud.

After a few more chatting, they ended their conversation cause it was getting late, after bading themselves goodbye, the two friends left.

8:05pm

"Nora, is this dress okay?" Veronica asked, as she showcased the dress for her friend, Nora.

"It is, but don't you think it is quite revealing?" Nora asked as she gazed at her phone.

"No it isn't, as long as it is enough to seduce Nathan tomorrow" Veronica smirked, right from the beginning, she loved Nathan and wanted him so badly and not only that her eyes was fixed to the position of Mrs. Hale, being Mrs. Hale held a lot of power, she could have anything she wished with a just a snap of the fingers.

 She smiled as she kept the clothe back inside the closet, however she frowned, she almost forgot that Nathan has a daughter, a devil for that matter, she hated Emily right from the start and she wished Emily too would have died on that day when her mother died.

"What about Emily? What will I do about her?" Veronica asked her friend, Nora.

"Well, you could get on her good side so that way, you could win her over including her dad" Nora explained in which Veronica nodded in acceptance.

"Yes, yes, you are right, Thank you so much" Veronica squealed happily, her eyes shining brightly as she embraced her best friend, she could already imagine her self in that position. 

"Now all I have to do is to make sure woman come close to my man" Veronica smirked.

"But what about the bride selection, according to every family rules, a bride selection must always take place to see the component bride to be selected, of course the future Mrs. Hale must not be a weakling, instead she must be powerful strong and able to stand by her husband in times of needs" Nora explained.

Veronica frowned by quickly used a smile to cover it up

"Oh that, do not worry about that, Nathan's mom loves me and do not forget the family I came from, I am from no ordinary family unlike you" Veronica almost yelled furiously.

"But do not forget that you and Monica {Nathan's Late Wife} participated in the bride selection, though you emerged as the winner, you took first position, still Nathan chose Monica because he loved her dearly" Nora explained making Veronica expression more darker and scarier.

"I don't care Nora, this time I will make sure that Nathan chose only me, okay?" Veronica yelled, she couldn't just bear it when people try to cut her chances of winning.

"But what about your boyfriend, Jasper?" Nora asked her.

"Oh, him, I already broke up with him yesterday" Veronica said as if it was normal thing to say, she never like him or anything, she was just dating him because of her parents behalf.

"But he loved you dearly, how could you do such a thing, he loved you dearly" Nora said, she was shocked, Jasper loved Veronica very much but sighed, she never felt the same way.

"Look Nora, he is not my priority right now, he was just my bed warmer, my priority is Nathan right now, I need him to love me" Veronica complained, her eyes turning dark.

"I hope you get what you want" Nora wished her well.

"Thanks" Veronica smiled, her mind was already filled with the hope of being Mrs. Hale.
